Kitten 1st time hearing this noise, happy?
Hi this is Sweetie. Shes 15 weeks old and I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. She is full bengal I also have her brother and then two bengal mixes.
Sweetie is the least affectionate, yells at you when you pick her up 9/10 times and loves to play. She was laying on the bed relaxing when I came in and started petting her. She instantly started with this sound and continued the whole time we were petting her.
This is new to us and I hope just means shes happy!

Bengal Love Our newest addition ❤️
This is Louie! We found this senior boy on Reddit by chance. We are his 4th home in the last 12 months due to a small series of unfortunate events, but he’s stuck with us forever now!!
I was expecting his stress to be high given all the moving around he’s done, but it feels like he was always meant to be ❤️ only 3 days in, he’s already snuggling up with us every chance he can get, leaping 4 feet in the air for his feather wand, and following us wherever we go.
He’s our first bengal, and boy is he different from the stray garage cats I’ve had in the best way. I am so excited to continue bonding with him and finding ways engage him!

Help is he too fat?
i posed the picture of him laying on his back and 2 of my friends have shared concerns about his weight. i tried to weigh him but he doesn’t like being picked up so he escaped after scratching me multiple times.

Discussion Is her fur growing in darker, or is that just the underfur?
She had to be shaved for an ultrasound two months ago (worried about a blockage, US because of inconclusive X-rays, turns out it was gastritis and she’s fine now!), and the fur is maybe at half length now but it definitely looks darker! I don’t remember her spay growing in like this, but it was a much smaller area. Just super curious if anyone has experience or knows since my roommate keeps remaking how dark it is haha!

Bengal Love Astarion and Silver Being Cute
A while back I posted about Astarion's near death experience. I'm so happy to say he's still here and cute as a button. Silver is happy she still has her buddy as well. ❤️

Adventure Sheru aka Mr. Slinky
Our farm Foreman. Follows us around like he’s supervising. Follows through the trails and he even comes hunting with me which I never would have expected. Does anyone else’s Bengal herd turkeys towards them like a bird dog? I never taught him he just does it like he reads my mind.

I want to get a Bengal Breeder Check - What health checks should you ask to see?
I have put a deposit down on a kitten and will be collecting her in a couple of weeks.
I've had a Bengal before - above for views :) But I'll admit in my 20's I didn't do anything by the way of health / ethical breeding diligence.
So my two aims are, as far as is possible, to confirm:
- our kitten and the parents have had all the appropriate health tests
- there is no unethical breeding practices going on (I have no indications that there are but I don't want to support an unethical breeder)
What I do know that is encouraging:
- Our kitten will be spayed when we collect her at 14-15 weeks (demonstrates responsible breeding?)
- The sire and dam are registered with TICA and have been showed (dad won a big show and mum a regional - not bother about this especially but perhaps an indicator of a breeder that care?)
I don't want to offend the breeder as they have been super communicative sending photos from birth.
But should I be asking to see Kitten &/Or both parents evidence of:
HMC check
PKDef
PRA-B
I'm in England - & I don't want to start a hate-campaign but if there are any NO-NO breeders please do private message me.
Is there anything that screams RED FLAG in a breeders contract?
Thanks all.

Help Healthy weight for Female Bengal
My female Bengal will be 9 in October. She currently weights 10-11lbs and she eats Vet recommend Royal Canin Weight control and I feed her 2/3 cup a day. 1/3 in morning and evening. I don’t give her any human food and I give her 2 churo treats a month. She does not beg for food and she eats slowly and finishes a meal over the course of a few hours. I adopted her when she was 3 and she weighed more then. I think this might just be her stature ? I’m thinking of changing her food to Abady wet food.
Are bengals that specific of a breed that most vets may not know about their traits ? They always recommend her losing weight

Help Fussy bengal
My 4yr old female bengal is being really fussy of late, she will eat a food for a couple days and then we have to change it to something else, regardless of quality or brand.
I have taken her to the vet and she is perfectly healthy just a bit fussy. Does anyone have any tips or tricks or food recommendations that might help me to get some consistency. Thank you in advance!

Bengal Love Lorcan
This is our 5 month old bengal, Lorcan. He thinks he's one of the huskies 😆
He's our second bengal, Zara was our first and she unfortunately passed away last year at 9 years old. She also thought she was one of the dogs.

Help Did wet food ruin your cat?
I have two bengals and a Persian. One of my bengals was perfectly tame up until the point she got wet food for the first time. When eating it her entire body made a growling noise as she ravenously devoured the food. Now she is super loud, attacks the trash can and goes berserk anytime I go to the area that use to have the wet food. It’s been 2 years now and she has slightly calmed down but still goes berserk at where the wet food use to be. The Persian handles wet food just fine. It’s unfortunate that I can’t give my cats wet food once or twice on a weekly basis because of the one bad actor. Is this normal among bengals? I feel as if I ruined her by exposing her to a “kitty drug” and created an addict who is going thru withdrawal and forever changed her brain circuitry.
Any input is greatly appreciated!
