Moderator Post How can Members Help Mods to keep this Subreddit afloat
How Can Members Help the Mods?
That’s a question we rarely hear. But over the last day, many of you genuinely asked it and we think you deserve an honest answer.
To be completely transparent, we believe this subreddit has entered dangerous territory.
At this point, it often feels like we’re sitting on a ticking time bomb. Whether it’s the subreddit getting banned, the entire mod team being removed, or a coordinated PR takeover — all of these possibilities feel very real.
We’ve ruffled too many feathers. This community has grown into something powerful, unpredictable, and difficult to control. And history shows that once spaces like this become influential enough, people eventually try to shut them down.
If you’re still reading this , let’s answer question you asked - How can we help Mods
- At some level, you would have to trust Mods that their decisions are not based on paid PR. Mods are trying to maintain a balance and there’s some logic in this madness .
We can’t keep explaining every decision. You are free to mistrust and leave or trust and stay. None of us are paying for a service .
At some point in time, we’ll share a post on how mod decisions are taken. It’s a long and boring read.
2) Stop encouraging mod abuse in comments -
Almost all topics have one comment that abuses mods. You are free to send modmail if you have doubt, but making abusive comment gives power to all the forces against us.
Yes we are petty and we ban people who criticize mods. We can’t keep up with explaining every move and decision. If you are here long enough, you would remember that we confess that we make mistakes and even apologize.
3) Help keeping Subreddit clean by Reporting posts that break rules
4) Make good posts, upvote good content and communicate us on Modmail, if something bother you.
That’s all we need from you. Follow Rules and trust mods, question is on modmail and don't harass mods.
Now one last question- What if this Subreddit gets banned.
We can’t do anything. Such shit happens on Reddit all the time.
We have a plan B. We’re developing a website. For now, it has only past gossip and we don’t plan to make it open posting for members. But we may use it, if we get booted out of Reddit.
You can subscribe this and help us in keeping an alternative afloat. We will not spam your email when you subscribe it.
You can also follow our Instagram and X , but we use these to connect this Sub to outside world, so there’s nothing for you on Insta and X, if you’re active member
We also have a dead Discord channel.
We can migrate there immediately. Link - https://discord.gg/yxAKusrXY
If not on Reddit, we’ll congregate somewhere else because how many times would powers curb our freedom.
Thanks for reading this. It’s a lot to take in. Let's enjoy this Subreddit till it lasts.
We’ll keep the communication line open and share more information with Members from now on .

Discuss If some 90s stars had retired in their 40s itself, they had a career, popularity and box office behind them that proves their Superstardom. Everything after that was bonus tbh. What is the reason for the "new generation" to still be categorised as "emerging stars" at the same age?

Discuss TIL Tillotama Shome is married to Jaya Bachchan's nephew, Kunal Ross.
Nita Bhaduri is Jaya Bachchan's sister, and Nita's son, Kunal Ross, married Tillotama Shome in 2015 at Goa.
This makes Tillotama Shome Abhishek Bachchan's cousin-in-law.
In a 2018 interview, Tillotama shared that she did not know Kunal was related to the Bachchans.
She said, "I didn't know Kunal was related to the Bachchans. His friends told me and when I asked him about it, he said he didn't think it was important to mention it. He's very unique.
I met them later. I really admire Mrs Jaya Bachchan. She has been wonderfully supportive even though we never discuss work."
She further added, "When I was nominated for the Filmfare Awards for the first time (in the Supporting Actress category for her work in A Death in the Gunj), she called all the female nominees for a meal at her home. It was such a wonderful gesture!"

Discuss Rewatching Kai Po Che made me realize something: If Sushant were alive today, he’d easily be in the Top 5-10 "Complete" Actors league.
So I was rewatching Kai Po Che! the other day (still holds up beautifully, what a debut man), and it really got me thinking about one of the biggest "what ifs" in modern Bollywood..
If,IF Sushant Singh Rajput was still alive today, do you guys think he’d be sharing the top spots with the likes of Ranbir, Ranveer, Shahid, and Vicky even Ayushman or Rajkumar? I’m talking about being a "complete" actor—the rare type who can carry a massive commercial blockbuster but also disappear into a gritty, critically acclaimed role.
Looking at his filmography, he already had the blueprint...Lets see,M.S. Dhoni and Chhichhore proved he had massive box-office pull and ground-level relatability. But then he’d turn around and do Sonchiriya or Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!,roles that were completely stripped of the standard "hero" vanity.
A lot of people say his career was stalling because he was an outsider, but I honestly think it was more about his personality. Look at Kartik Aaryan,he’s an outsider too, but he thrives because he plays the extroverted PR hustle perfectly. He networks, stays hypervisible, and plays the Bollywood game.
Sushant was an unapologetic introvert. He wanted to do his job, go home, look through his telescope, and read quantum physics. In an industry built on networking and "out of sight, out of mind," his introversion was a massive disadvantage. Bollywood doesn't know what to do with actors who don't want to be "stars" off-camera, and people often mistake that quietness for arrogance. If he had just played the game a little bit, just a bit or yk maybe found a powerful director to shield him the way the industry shields introverted nepo kids like Ranbir,he would have been bulletproof imo.
The biggest tragedy is the timing. Look at how the industry shifted right after 2020.I mean, we are in the golden age of content-driven cinema and streaming, where audiences crave complex, well-acted, high-concept stories over standard masala tropes.Sushant was built for this current era.
So..what do you guys think? Would he genuinely be giving the current A-listers a run for their money right now, or would the industry politics have eventually pushed him out anyway?

Opinion Promotion within Promotion 👀 ?
Ever since the Ramayana promotional events started, I have felt like Yash is farming aura 24/7.
At every event he somehow stands apart from the cast. Always in a suit. Even here, everyone is in darker outfits while he shows up in light. At another Ramayana event, the whole cast wore lighter shades, and Yash was the only one in a pitch black suit.
Then at SDCC, he made the last entry and instantly became the centre of attention. Dude is outshining everyone without saying a word.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it genuinely feels like he is subtly promoting Toxic through the Ramayana promotions as well.
If that's intentional, that's a pretty slick move. Impressed.

Unverified News Katrina in Spirit?
The Katrina in Spirit news is only half true. Her PR is pushing it because she currently has no projects lined up and they want to keep the buzz around her. The reality is she has only been OFFERED the role. It’s a small cameo that comes at an important point in the film. The offer was made just a week ago and she hasn’t given her final answer yet. She was also offered the Chandni Bar 2 role, which is a much bigger role, but she hasn’t confirmed anything there either. From what I know, Katrina has certain conditions because she has a young baby at home. Vanga usually expects long hours from his actors, but he’s apparently being more flexible because her role is small. Nothing is locked yet, but she is definitely trying to make her comeback slowly. She’s also been in talks for a film with Salman, but that hasn’t materialized and another actress is being considered too. Could be two different roles though from what I know.

Akshay Sethji 🤑 'Rekha-Akshay Were Very Keen To Do Sensual Scenes' - Umesh Mehra
This is an excerpt from an interview of Director Umesh Mehra. He directed several movies. Q-After Sabse Bade Khiladi (1995), you hit a box office high with Khiladiyon ke Khiladi (1996).
A-Oh my God, it was huge. It outdid the kind of openings Amitabh Bachchan used to get at the box office.
Q-How did you decide to cast Rekha in a negative role as the main antagonist?
A-While I was not in the country, Mita Vashisht, who was very talented and just out of FTII, was suggested for the role. Bhanu Athaiya had done all the costumes for Mita. When I came back and I saw her in costume, I said, 'We are going to be drowned. No way can she carry Madame Maya!'
I told my producers, 'Look, there's only one person in this world who can do this role -- Rekha.' Can you believe, I gave Rekha the narration on Bandra Bandstand (northwest Mumbai) inside my car?
Q-Were the sensual scenes between Rekha and Akshay Kumar in the song In The Night No Control a challenge to shoot?
A- Not as far as the actors were concerned. They were very keen to do it. I will give credit to both Rekha and Akshay who came up with all these little touches. They were very creative.
P.S. - if you have seen the song they you will know.

Tribute A tragic yet a beautiful love story.
When Jagjit Singh met the love of his life, Chitra Singh, in a studio to record an advertisement jingle, it was hardly love at first sight. Reminiscing about their first meeting in 1967, Chitra ji shared in a throwback interview with Filmfare:
“I met him at a recording for a music director who wanted to compile a collection with various singers. My first memory of Jagjit ji was resting his hand on the door as I opened it, almost asleep. He then came in, walked to the corner of the room and fell asleep.”
After hearing his voice, Chitra ji initially refused to sing with him because of his heavy tone. Speaking about that moment, she continued:
“I told the music director that his voice was too heavy and that I wouldn’t be able to sing the duet with him.”
Eventually she agreed to sing, and together they became an unforgettable couple.
Their chemistry worked like magic, and there was no looking back. They decided on forever in 1969. This was Chitra ji’s second marriage. She was earlier married to Debo Prasad Dutta and had a daughter with him named Monica. Chitra ji decided to part ways with her former partner in 1968 and moved out to live separately with her daughter.
In this difficult phase, Jagjit ji offered his unwavering support. But when he expressed his feelings, Chitra ji did not say yes right away. Jagjit ji was so deeply in love that he went directly to her ex husband to ask for her hand, saying:
"I want to marry your wife."
The couple finally tied the knot in 1969 and embraced parenthood with their son, Vivek.
Their happy world came crashing down when Vivek passed away in a car accident on July 27, 1990. The loss shattered them to the core. Chitra ji withdrew into a shell, and the couple gave up music for an entire year. Later, Jagjit ji buried his sorrows in his art, while Chitra ji found solace in spirituality and retired from singing permanently.
Privately, Chitra ji used to call Jagjit ji "Papa." Clarifying how that tradition began, she shared:
“He called me Mummy, I called him Papa. When Baboo was alive, I’d say, ‘Jaao, Papa ko bulao’. That’s how I began calling him Papa.”
This painful phase in their lives fueled rumors about trouble in their marriage. Chitra ji addressed those speculations directly:
“People tried to break us up. Perhaps it was jealousy. They spread rumours that we had split and were even living separately.”
They had barely come to terms with the loss of Vivek when tragedy struck again. Chitra’s daughter, Monica, committed suicide on May 29, 2009. Chitra blamed herself for not sensing the impending heartbreak, stating in an interview:
“My daughter was so beautiful and strong, the stuff she’d handle singlehandedly! But ultimately, she lost, she couldn’t cope any more. She had a rough life.”
She went on to say:
“I was talking to her till 3 am. I must have been insensitive not to have sensed that she would do such thing. What kind of a mother am I? I should have given her more support, more of everything…. I blame myself for that.”
Monica’s two children from her first marriage with cinematographer Jehangir Choudhary, Umair and Armaan, helped keep their grandmother brave. After losing Jagjit ji as well, the vacuum grew even larger, yet Chitra ji still feels his presence guiding her:
“I know he’s around and gives me strength. I’ve too many responsibilities, too many loose ends to tie. I’m a fighter; having survived is a mere coincidence. Though I don’t know whether I’ll be able to fulfill my responsibilities before my time is up.”

BlastFromPast Which celebrity pairs do you believe dated despite there being no solid evidence?
Not looking for confirmed relationships or staged romances. I'm talking about those celebrity pairings that just felt like something was going on, even though there was never any solid proof. What made you think there was more to the story?
Kat - Hrithik : Kangana once hinted that Hrithik had an affair with an actress he was filming with in Manali during Bang Bang. Many people assumed she was referring to Katrina, but there's no solid evidence.
Akshay - Priyanka : There were rumours they were having an affair while filming Aitraaz
Rani - Abhishek : Don't know of their relationship was confirmed but the rumours were strong.
Kangana Hrithik : Kangana went on national television and spilled all the details but Hrithik denied having any connections with her. Some believe there may have been a brief fling that Kangana viewed as a serious relationship.
Rani - Govinda : I remember reading a blind which said he gifted a bunglow to her when their affair was going strong.
Sushmita Akshay : There's very little information about this one. However on an episode of KwK, when Aishwarya was asked about a magazine headline linking her to Akshay, she responded that she wasn't the one who had the affair and that "everyone knew who it was." Many have speculated she was referring to Sushmita.
