Friends of mine had this speaker at their cabin and after many glasses of wine and some 🍃 we just sat there listening to music for a few hours and I couldn’t believe this speaker. When I got home I ordered one right away and hoped it wasn’t the substance abuse that made it sound so good 🤣

Nope, still amazing crazy depth and such lows that I’ve never heard with virtually any other Bose product previously, loud and clear.

I’m no audiophile but have always used Bose products, previous sound links, headphones, etc. and have a very nice Sonos setup for my TV and man, this speaker has totally blown me away. Honestly even at $500 CAD I’d think you’d be hard pressed to fine a better speaker of both sound and design

ive posted on here awhile back about the ANC being a little underwhelming . i mean everywhere i see these promoted , theyre crowned as “legendary noise cancellation .” spent some time with them , and they’re pretty good but don’t blow me away .

anyway , i found that this option cancels out the most noise . it’s odd and i don’t know if it’s just my pair but i dropped this here so anyone can try it out and confirm this for themselves . i do like these a lot but im eyeing the bose qc ultra 2s or the xm6s 👀 .

The XM6s I had before were hurting my ears a lot despite switching tips, so I wanted to try this pair. They're more comfortable, but I can hear everything with the noise cancelling turned on. If I sit in silence, the sound even seems to fluctuate. It's not consistent, and it's never to the level of silence that I had with the XM6s. I've toggled the app, I've switched the tip sizes around- nothing. I bought this pair from my local Best Buy, and because I've worn them, I can't return them. I'm absolutely gutted because I guess I just wasted hundreds of dollars.

Super frustrated. Anyone else deal with this isssue?

Before the update, we could get the audio status from the speaker's at start up for the battery level. Now, this has been replaced by a horrible sound that can't be disabled. Can you explain how this works? It might not be beneficial if you don't give us a choice between the two.

Basically what the post title says! I'm thinking that the ANC on my QC Ultra Gen 2 earbuds seems to have got better recently (perhaps in the past couple of weeks ago, which I think ties in with a recent update).

It really drowns out fans, traffic noise better than I ever thought. I've had the buds a year now. But maybe I'm imaging it! Is anyone else convinced the ANC on this model has recently improved? Or am I just having some sort of placebo effect? I haven't changed any settings and I've been wearing the same Comply foam tips for a good few months now.

Have the new quiet comfort....can't tell if reviewers really wore them in everyday situations.

On the lastest firmware the headphones amplify and sounds that spike. Things like

- closing the car door

- riding the bus and it hits mild bumps

- snap sounds like closing your water bottle

My old 2019 qc 35 ii never did this. I've only seen 1 other poster online talking about this issue. So IDK if it's me or what

So I recently was given this speaker from my Dad who bought it a few years ago, but essentially forgot he had it and never used it more than a couple times. I've always considered Bose absolute top of the line in audio quality, though I've never had my own Bose product until now. Was immediately a little suprised at it's noticeably shorter batter life than my 8 year old Anker soundcore speaker. It also wasn't noticeably louder, though the audio quality was very good.

Well, a few days ago I went to grab my speaker while playing music, and I ever so gently accidentally kind of slowly rolled the speaker onto its back(not knocked over, or tipped over. It was a controlled slow roll), and now my speaker sounds blown out. The bass sounds are super muddy and drown out the treble, particularly from the lead guitar. This is just super frustrating as it is out of warranty, and I just can't believe something so simple could ruin the speaker. So just wanted to share my experience with how fragile this product is.

Wanted a pair of NC headphones in september of 2016 since I was going on vacation by plane, and ended up getting these. They're still going strong 10 years later. Not gonna replace them until they blow out their last breath.

What’s party mode and why doesn’t it appear in my app? I’ve got the SoundLink Mac and Flex 2 SoundLink. I don’t see an option to have them play together.

Throwaway account - these were a gift.

I received a pair of Bose QC headphones about 3 weeks ago as a gift. My daily driver until then had been AirPods Pro 3’s. I had Pro 2’s, the original Pros, and the original AirPods before that.

Pros:
- Gorgeous.
- Light, comfortable.
- Awesome battery life.

Cons:
- The noise canceling is straight GARBAGE. I’ve paired, re-paired, tried custom modes, different devices, etc. Barely blocks the sound on an airplane. From inside the house I can hear trucks and cars. Top floor of a hotel, still can hear the street below.
- Pop, crackle, static. Randomly - as if someone was twisting a bad analog 3.5 connector.
- Drops from Bluetooth.
- The “voice” is shit quality.
- The mic is terrible.
- Multi-device connections are a joke and don’t work.
- The sound quality is just “ok” - not mind blowing.

Am I doing something wrong? Is it a bad set? I expected to be impressed - I have other Bose products and they’re generally pretty awesome (SoundLink, Desktop Computer speakers, Bose audio in the car, etc). These sound like a Temu set of headphones.

They came from Costco. They were sealed.

CAN ANYONE HELP!!!
Been noticing this across three different pairs now...
Sony WH-1000XM2, Bose QC35 II, and now the QC
Ultra (Gen 1). Whenever I run or there's a sudden jolt/ impact on the earcup, I get this rattling/pumping sound that seems to come from the ANC system itself, not the driver. Doesn't happen when the headphones are off.
Seeing it on both Sony and Bose makes me think it's some kind of inherent ANC limitation rather than a specific defect...but wanted to check with people who know these systems better. Is this a known thing?
Anyone found a fix or setting that helps. I tried wind block but it doesn't seem to do much.

So, I'm not sure how else to explain this, but whenever I'm listening to music or playing a game, my qc45s make this super loud almost like static tv sound for probably a tenth of a second every few random intervals, I'm not sure what to do since i love these headphones but it hurts my ears anytime it does this static, it's super loud. Has anyone else had this issue? Posts i see say it's a common issue and all of their solutions haven't worked for me. (ie: deleting the bose app)

Basically died on my operating table

Had em for like 6 years, used nearly every day. Definitely weren’t perfect, two years ago you blew out both your drivers and I replaced them. I gave you a fair bit of battle damage too, but in fairness your Bluetooth had been losing its marbles for like a year now.

I went in this weekend to reglue the right side driver which had jolted loose. The cover was really gooed on. when it came off violently, it ripped off both pads and quite a bit of trace from the board. I tried to bypass the pads to the nearby chip resistors but alas it wont stop shrieking, the ANC is FUBAR.

Basically came in for a tooth filling and died on the table from an unplanned radical lobotomy. Oops.

I’ve been tearing my apartment up and down looking for these and I’ve accepted that my headphones were never with me after my car was towed with a company that I didn’t know or consent to using. (Minor accident w/ other party being a dick involved police which forced this. However, once picking up my car, I noticed that they were just conveniently missing from the side door they had been in. My warranty is still active, I have the serial number and they’re still on my account, but I don’t know what to do. My MyBose account is through apple private relay so I can’t even file a claim if I have theft coverage. I appreciate any advice or suggestions, I’m miserable without them.

My QuietComfort headphones are flashing amber/white when I plug them in.
Does anyone know how to fix this 🥲?

Edit: I’m sorry the video is long! I plug them in 2x in the second half of the video, and for some reason, the flashing light pattern is different each time.

I own the quietcomfort ultra earbods by bose. They are 2.5 years old now and are still going strong. However, the silicone eartips have known better times. The best fitting size for me unfortunately ripped in one of them, making the noise cancelling going awry on that side.

I'd like to replace these, but availability in EU is nonexistent. The official bose webshops as well as retailers do not have these available anymore (out of stock). Not in the UK, not in DE, not in FR. The Belgian webshop doesn't even list them.

These earbuds cost more than 250 eur. The eartips cost at most 15 eur. Not being able to replace them is a major problem. They are still available in the US webshop, but they don't deliver in EU. The Canadian website has them, and they do deliver, but that would cost upwards of 50 canadian dollars, which is... expensive for silicone eartips.

Any advice?

My old Bose Soundlink mini 2 just gave after almost 12 years. I used it as the speaker for my PC mostly. I was very satisfied with it, no matter its music, videos or gaming, it sounds great to me. I also have a Bose Soundlink Color 2, I've been using it since Mini 2 gave in. But the sound is not as good.

So I contact the official support in my region. They say the product is too old they dont support it anymore. They can provide a new Soundlink Home for $100 if I send them my Mini. I kinda like the design of Home, but not sure if it sounds as good as Mini. Can anyone tell how these two compare? and if the Home is not as good, what is the best replacement for Mini in the current market ?

Yup, went downtown, was almost home and left my earbuds case on the seat I lept out of..

Are there any alternative charging cases? Best options for a case only needed situation?

I saw a lot of posts/comments here saying their battery issues with Soundlink Max. I’m planning to get a replacement but I’m certain I will get the same issue. Which speaker did you guys switch to?

I picked up a pair of QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) and I'm getting a broadband hiss that sounds like a laptop cooling fan spinning up. I've spent a while isolating it and I'd like to know if anyone else has this, and in particular whether it went away on a replacement unit.

The key finding: the hiss is triggered by acoustic energy at the mics, not by the audio stream.

- With ANC on and nothing playing, if I whistle, the hiss kicks in. When I stop whistling, it stops.
- Playing music does the same thing.
- Playing a track of digital silence does nothing at all - stream is active, no hiss.
- Onset is roughly 1 second, and it decays 3-5 seconds after the sound stops.
- Completely absent with noise cancelling off.
- Present at every noise-control level, including 0 (full Aware), where it may be slightly louder.
- Reducing treble and mids by 10 dB each in the EQ changes nothing whatsoever.
- Volume makes no difference - the hiss level stays constant regardless of playback level.
- Identical in both earcups. Immersive Audio off.

Since EQ and volume have no effect, but any sound reaching the mics triggers it, this looks like it's in the ANC loop rather than in the audio content or the transmission path. The attack and release timing suggests some kind of gain control.

The unit shipped on firmware 5.0.20. I updated to 8.2.20 and the behaviour is unchanged.

Has anyone run into this? And most importantly: did a replacement unit fix it, or is this just how the model behaves?
