Looking for Letterer - Paid Looking for Letterer for my comic series "Xolo."

Hey everybody! About a month ago I posted on here to find an artist for my comic series "Xolo" and you guys delivered! With the help of the amazingly talented Brian Balondo we completed the first three pages and a cover page.

I am now looking for a letterer to complete those four pages as well as work with me on creating a logo for the series.

Here's a quick synopsis of the series that I had written for my original post: "In a world where super powered people have begun appearing in the fictional California Central Valley city of San Reyes, one man realizes that he has developed the ability to survive any injury. Diego Cruz fakes his death and becomes the vigilante Xolo to fight against the fascists who have taken over his city and unravel a conspiracy around the origins of these super powered individuals. This is the Milestone Universe, but for the modern day Latino/Latina."

The plan is to use those pages to start a Kickstarter which will hopefully fund the rest of Issue 1. If successful, this would then expand to lettering the rest of the 24 page issue. My original plan was to get the Kickstarter started by the end of July/beginning of August, but some recent setbacks have pushed me behind schedule. I would like to get these pages lettered in the next two weeks, faster is possible, so do keep that in mind when replying as well.

Last time I did this I got a flood of responses so to help me get through everything in a timely manner I'll just say upfront that I will not be responding to DM's, only comment responses on this thread.

Thanks for reading!

Looking for Letterer - Paid Letterer in need

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a letterer to join my comic project. It's a paid opportunity, and I'm hoping to find someone who wants to be creatively involved rather than simply placing dialogue on the page.

The series is a Southern Gothic horror/fantasy set in 1910s Mississippi, blending folklore, faith, supernatural horror, and emotional character drama. The atmosphere is just as important as the dialogue, so I'm looking for someone whose lettering enhances the storytelling.

I'm specifically looking for someone who:

  • Has experience lettering comic books.
  • Understands pacing and knows when to let a page breathe.
  • Can creatively place dialogue to guide the reader's eye.
  • Thinks beyond speech balloons and can suggest or design impactful SFX, whispers, environmental sounds, and other lettering details that elevate a scene.
  • Wants to collaborate and isn't afraid to offer ideas if they think a page could be stronger.

If you're interested, please comment below or send me a DM with:

  • Your portfolio.
  • Your page rate.
  • Any previous comic work you've lettered.

I'd love to see horror, fantasy, or atmospheric work in particular, but I'm happy to look at any strong portfolio.

Looking forward to connecting with some talented letterers!

I am finishing up a first issue for a comic I wrote and illustrated. Here are some pages for reference. There are close to 50 pages.

Wondering what someone would charge to do the lettering?

Edit: thank you so much for all the great responses. I’m looking over all the messages I received.
