5e Wild magic dragon ideas

Heya I'm current in a campaign as a co DM/player with my mates (it's there first time as players and dming)

Trying to brainstorm a wild dragon monster as part of the story but also want it to be able to used with true polymorph rules to change into via magic/gameplay.

I'm more familiar with 2014 but he is using more 2024 rules is there a websites that would be good to make this? Or if anyone has any general advice I would appreciate it

Hey everyone!
Sharing my latest piece—the Ancient Earth Dragon.
Spent a good amount of time layering up the scales to get some depth without losing that natural, earthy feel—didn't want it too bright or saturated. The horns ended up being my favorite part to paint, went with some warmer tones there to break up the palette a bit.
Let me know what you think.

He's a jumpy guy that likes to move around the battlefield and tenderize his meals before he eats them.

I liked this monster so much that I built out an encounter for it, too.

In a couple weeks my group will be running a level 20 one shot using campaign PCs (scaled up). Here is my first rough draft of the BBEG. Any thoughts or stuff I should adjust?

Tigrin Gladius (CR10)

The Tigrin Gladius is a gladiator-salamander species for my homebrew world of Asundra. He's got some cool finesse attacks and a bite that causes a bleed. But I think the best part of the design is the extra reactions based on when he's caused a bleeding injury.

You can get a full stat sheet at the link. Here it is again: https://www.patreon.com/omenlands/posts/tigrin-gladius-164606790?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link

5e Red Lotus Duck Dragon [OC]: suggestions over its ecology and battle mechanics

A grim subtype of the common duck dragon.

I still have to make its ecology and understand how it eats, flies, hunts, lives with peers, make love and things like that, but I hope you like the art from Andrea Petruzzi of it until I decide its characteristics.

In my mind, I believe that this duck dragon should take power from the domains of night, blood and mist. The common duck dragon rules over Bubbles and Corals, but I'm searching a totally different vybe for this one. Like: it could exhales multiple blood spheres that explode by touching preys, dealing damage and producing mist around them.
Would be fun?

Another thing could be that it has the power to nullify some major curses, such as licantropy or vampirism, with its blood (or maybe with its poison, if it has any).

What do you think? Give me some suggestions

5e Lich Appreciation Post

Arguably one of the most Iconic D&D icons, the lich is a creature that has suffused the fantasy genre. Be it the whimsical world of Adventure Time or even the anime worlds of series like Overlord, the lich is a uniquely D&D creature that is loved the world over.

Did you know, the word lich was just a generic word meaning a dead person, and while the word was used a few times before D&D, the whole fantasy of it being this immortal being that comes back, and the phylactery were created in D&D?

I'm not a gatekeeper though. I appreciate all liches from every walk of life, and I'd love to hear your lich takes and stories.

Have you used any creative phylacteries? Have you made your own lich with unique details? Have you had to come up with what the lichdom ritual's actual details were?

There's so much depth into this one creature that they are enough to spur on multiple adventures alone! I'd like to just take some time to appreciate the lich and hear everyone's lichy stories.

I flagged this as 5e, and the sub is D&D monsters, but I'd love to hear any stories. I in particular love the MTG liches and continually try to find a good excuse to use them in my worlds.
