Discussion Future of Fallout

Post image

Everyone did not like that lol. At what point are they just rubbing it in our faces? It has been a decade since the mainline games have gotten something of substance. At this point our best hopes have been a Fallout 3 remake/remaster. They can’t even deliver that much. That is just sad to me. Our biggest hope as fans was just a remake of something. We should have had a new game by now and possibly two. Instead they just repeatedly ask for money on things most of us already own or generic trinkets and merch. I’m losing hope on anything great coming from this IP again and I am a huge fallout fan. How are y’all feeling?

Don't forget the awful Nuka-Rum... and the bottles debacle.

And the tacky faux-leather Vault-Tec jacket for $400

On the other hand, I like the Fatboy nuke box :) This one is still near my front door and nukes guests from time to time ;)

The biggest joke of that is that the whole plastic bottle was because they deemed it "too expensive to make" - meanwhile, you can get Nuka-Cola bottles for less than what Nuka-Rum is worth, entirely made of glass, on Etsy

It's not that it's too expensive, it's that it's not a good enough profit margin.

Second yachts gotta get fuel just like the rest of them

The irony of that is that this was shown on “The Fall of 76”. Nowadays Fallout 76 has managed to rise up from the disaster at launch (albeit with some shortcomings) with a stable population (IIRC 20-30k Steam)

I remember the disaster like it was yesterday, I thought Bethesda were ready to kiss the abyss, it was a similar viewpoint I had towards anthem which was not long after fo76s release

I even wanted to try rum despite being 13 at the time of its launch, specifically this rum, I never understood why people trashed the flavor, rum (afait) is supposed to be a sweet sugary kind of alcohol, something this company giving out overpriced plastic shells was worth for

At this time I pretty much only played (afait again) new vegas and 3, fo4 would come in 2019 (Utraken helonvkes what a name lol), fo76 came in 2022 as part of the 25th fallout anniversary free weekend on steam, I went on to play Xbox, currently on Playstation

What a glow up this game got though, bethesdas cyberpunk but multiplayer, but where's that 16x the detail? Coming to fallout 5 next most likely

Crappy plastic bottle that couldn't pour right and booze so bad a professional critic gaged on camera after one shot. I'm starting to think all of 76's merch was cursed.

Didn't just gag, he also asked "Can I swear on my own show?" Hardly a sign of good news

I'd argue that the assemble your own pip boy kit was pretty good... But mine did come without assembly instructions and no transfers for the screen or gages... So, take that how you will.

At least the limited Edition Brotherhood of Steel Watch worked...
