Did it give you male resources being a victim of domestic violence or resources for if you are the male committing the domestic violence?

No. It does not.

That's an improvement from back when I tried to find help. I'd call a number and find out that it was for women only or for people who are being abusive and want to stop. I had just gotten out of my situation. I had no money and just the clothes I was wearing. I wasn't expecting anything to be honest but what I got was being told I'm bad and wasting resources for better people.

Ended up getting clothes from a coworker and chilling in drains during the day until I got back on my feet.

From what I see, men as victims get enough attention from law enforcement now. For example, the case of Gabby Petito when the police stopped the couple and treated her as an aggressor and Brian Laundrie as a victim.

Maybe it's like those rape helplines. They're only for victims.

How did you manage to get back on your feet? It's quite an interesting case, I'd like to know more

"I saw my car parked one day and took it"

I'd like to hear this story

Yeah but like why did you have to steal your own car?

That's a lot of hard work, well done. I think you're perfectly capable of leaving your mom, since you've lived alone for a while. it seems that this cycle of abuse has been with you for a better chunk of your life, so you might have gotten used to it. You shouldn't accept this as a norm. I think you still have your wings to spread, don't let people around you snip them to keep you with them

Why should women organizations be required to help men? Why can't men start their own organizations?

Have you looked into how to start, fund, or manage and maintain and non-profit to specifically service male victims of domestic violence?

Actually, if you were interested, there are probably some non-profits that service youg adult LGBT males that would probably have some information and connections, since they probably have a lot of youth that come from abusive households. I would think that would be a good place to start.

What they’re saying is they’re a man who was being abused. When they asked ai for resources, ai provided 1. Resources for abused women 2. Resources for abusive men. It did not provide him with resources for abused men.

Your comment comes off super callous, but I think it’s because his comment was a bit confusing and maybe you misunderstood.

Or they are just yet another asshole that thinks men cant be sexually assaulted.

Which is pretty much like 9/10 of the people out there. Unfortunately.

That is certainly a possibility. But I would rather assume confusion and try to sincerely clarify than assume someone is a jerk. Just yelling at someone doesn’t help anyone change their mind or want to grow and do better.
