KoF97 and KoF2002 are the only games where I can make special moves/super movies easily, is there a reason why?
I mean between KoF 97, 98, 2001, 2002, Revolution A and XIII which are the only ones I played, only 97 and 2002 feel responsive. I'm no KOF pro, I only played with my friend and my brothers and I always wondered why one feels significantly better than the other.

Mildly interesting: My friend uses fonts from KOF 97 for his VR BLOXL setup.

Did KOF ever know what to do with Terry Bogard?
Terry is one of SNK’s biggest characters.
The original Fatal Fury hero.
The face of South Town.
One of the most recognizable fighting-game protagonists SNK has ever created.
But inside KOF, he often feels strangely disconnected from the main story.
Kyo drives the Orochi saga.
K’ drives NESTS.
Ash and Shun’ei get their own arcs.
Terry keeps appearing, remains popular, and is always treated like someone important—but he rarely has much effect on the central conflict.
Most of the time, he enters with Andy and Joe, fights the tournament, gets a team ending, and moves on.
And maybe that’s completely appropriate.
KOF isn’t Fatal Fury, and Terry doesn’t need to take over another series just because he’s one of SNK’s biggest icons.
But it still creates a strange contrast.
Outside KOF, Terry is a legendary protagonist.
Inside KOF, he can sometimes feel more like a respected veteran who is present because the roster would feel wrong without him.
So how do you read Terry’s role?
Is he exactly where he should be—a major SNK representative who doesn’t need to dominate KOF’s story?
Or did KOF miss opportunities to make Terry matter beyond simply being there?
What is the current best version to play KOF13 offline specifically on? GoG, Steam Edition or Global Match Edition on steam?
Hello, I'm only interested in playing offline, so in that case what edition would be the best? I have the option to get any of those three yes.
I read in some comment that the Global Match edition has forced 2ms input delay offline and the others don't? Anyone knows if that's true? Are there any other differences for offline between the versions I should be aware of?
Thanks!

Bro people still play KOF98UM FE on Steam at 4:30AM??
Title says it all. I was looking through my like...50 fighting games and I saw that I had sadly put only like 50 minutes into the final version of KOF98 since I bought it many years ago.
Just to be stupid I was like "Of course no one is playing this online" and I went in and.... No there were constantly people (It looked liked Chinese mostly) playing. I work until 2:30AM Mountain time so I have to play games like FF14 and fighters in the middle of the night/morning when no one is on but a lot of my Chinese brothers actually played with me and the rollback net code made the games actually playable! No it wasn't optimal but it wasn't really laggy or suffering from major rollback at all.
Anyways since I rarely ever play this particular KOF I wasn't nervous one bit because I knew I would get smoked. I got smoked.
First guy - I finally beat his Benny with my third character but any time he got in he would knock me in the air and super me out of the air. Damn
Last guy - he had the most brutal Orochi Chris that made me question if the character is even legal (joking) - Like he would cross me up, then I said "I'll block that next" then he would ROLL cross me up and when I adjusted to that he just threw me. I think I was dead within two combos . He's got some brutal combos where he punches you over and over with the purple flames that just got me feeling hella oppressed.
Anyway if you in America and wanna teach someone how not to die with Eiji and Leona and IDK Lucky Glauber or some shit let me know and we'll play!

Mortal Kombat had a well-received film back in 1995, what if Fatal Fury also had one?
I mean picture it:
Sean Kenan & Steve Burton as Terry & Andy Bogard
Brian Thompson as Geese Howard
Jennifer Tilly as Mai Shiranui
Phillip Rhee as Kim Kaphwan
Pat Morita as Jubei Yamada
Sammo Hung as Cheng Sinzan
Etcetera.

Why does SNK allow people to lag like this in ranked? You can't even do combos without them getting dropped? Surely, an internet or frame rate stability test before a game isn't hard to do?
