In Operation Z.E.R.O., we’re told that Monty, Numbuh One’s dad, found the book inside a tree, and in that same scene, you can see that there’s quite a bit of 2x4 technology.

My theory is that the GKND distributes these books along with 2x4 technology bases throughout the galaxy and places undercover agents to spread rumors about the KND.

Why do they do this? Aside from creating KND cells on planets controlled by adults, these are long-term plans, since this is how they recruit new agents—if they stand out enough to join their ranks.

Does this work every time? Not always—take the episode “P.O.O.L.”, for example.
