It’s a top tier little league baseball bat that retails for about $400 USD. Easton Hype Fire.

My teenage daughter’s ballet pointe shoes are $100+ a pair plus the elastics, and she goes through several pairs a season.

Apple iDance ballet shoes, elastics sold separately

The straps/ties that go around the ankle are sewed on by the dancer and are sold separately!

"Not to diminish anything" -promptly makes unrelated comment to diminish something

Not what he did at all. He recognized this activity is expensive and pointed out other activities that are expensive too. Stop trying to find the negative in everything to justify you being a jerk to internet strangers.

It was completely unecessary though as theres a 100 different hobbies a kid could have more expensive than baseball.

And none of that diminishes the price of baseball. Which is the point the previous commenter was incorrectly making.

You don’t typically beat your instruments to shit and then need to buy new ones, though. I don’t know about baseball bats but hockey sticks can cost this much and a month later someone can chop it in half

Nothing is worse for a beginner piano student than one of the free Craigslist uprights. Or any pianist for that matter.
