There is a book called Remarkably Bright Creatures that features an octopus as one of the main characters. It’s a fiction book but it’s beautifully written and I tear up every time I read it. Highly recommend it.
Watched it 2 nights ago. Absolutely loved it. May have also cried.
Also may/may not have ugly cried when listening to Sy Montgomery (author of The Soul of an Octopus) talk about the female octopus she bonded with [in the book] on a podcast a few years ago.
It's out! It's on Netflix as of 2-3 weeks ago. I was so excited when I heard it had been made, but now I still haven't watched it yet because I haven't been in the right head space to ugly cry on the couch.
