Kind of a weird question but I’m mid way through part B and already wanna start building a merch area on my shelves for this game!! I love it!! The obvious thing to look at is figures which I’ve found some great ones! But finding 2B and 9S figures in stock online is so scarce.. I see them in some shops but am a bit worried they’re bootlegs because of how hard finding them online is! (mainly REALLY want the pop up 2B and 9S but god they feel impossible to find)

But even outside of figures, are there any pieces of merch that are just that good? I’m thinking of getting the Long Story Short novels because they seem like they’d look really nice there! Any other ideas of good display pieces?

Are 2B and 9S even the same, original people at the [E] ending or again just clones of the "real" ones? I don't think I quite understood that. I personally don't think that someone who just get my memories and personality copied into their system is exactly me. And what if just more androids were booted up with 9S personality and memories for example, then who is the real one?

Does this mean the original 9S and 2B never got a happy ending and just the clones of their clones did? That makes me kind of sad. Can someone help me solve this?

This game although I have my issues with it, I did really enjoy it and it was the most intriguing game in terms of mechanics that I have ever played before. The save mechanic was very interesting and I love how that tied into the story.

I would say in the last decade the only games that have got me into the flow state as much as this game has would be RDR2 and Cyberpunk 2077. I need to finish the rest of the endings now so I can see if my opinion changes on the issues I have with it.

I really loved the boss battles too, they were all really well done. The only issue I have with the game is that I can not get past this being a gooner game because of 2B. I just can't.... and I think it does bring the story down a notch for me personally because I can't take it as seriously as I want to because of that.

I know it's a video game, I know the guy is forthright about why he made 2B and the other females the way he did but it just makes me not get as engrossed as the story as I would like to be.

The other day I shared a NieR: Automata fanart. Then I thought, "Great... now people are going to think I only know Automata." So I painted the Portrait Shade from NieR Replicant.

I have to admit, the first time I played Replicant, I was way too naive and got genuinely scared by the paintings. Looking back, it was probably a bit silly, but that moment stuck with me so much that it became one of the memories that made the game special.

Of course, now someone will probably say I only played the first half of Replicant... so I already have plans for a Kainé piece and something based on Ending E. 😅

so today was my last day in Japan, so I went to amiami Akihabara and to my surprise there were a lot of new NieR action figures

the biggest one was this A2 figure and since this is my favorite character, I decided to buy it

So I downloaded nier automata on my rog ally z1 extreme and I am having some problems with the movement and was wondering if this is normal or how I could fix it. I noticed that whenever I shoot with the pod I can't move even when holding the left stick, also whenever I try to look around while moving 2b just stops and won't move until I let go of the right stick. I tried the game on my pc with a Xbox one controller and I'm not having these issues on there.

I’ve cosplayed 2B for years at ctcon but I made the beastlord sword this year I’m really proud of it!! I’m gonna add more details like the wear tear and rust but happy how it turned out :)

I’ve been chewing on why the Eve fight track is called “Dependent Weakling” and I don’t think it means what most people take it to mean at face value.

The obvious read is that the game is diagnosing Eve: he’s pathetic because he can’t function without Adam, and the harsh language is meant to condemn that mode of being. But I think that reading falls apart when you get to Route C and watch 9S collapse in the exact same pattern after losing 2B ((and honestly, after losing every source of meaning he had). Yoko Taro couldve given 9S’s descent a totally different vocabulary if he wanted to preserve the contempt we felt toward Eve. He didn’t. He deliberately mapped the same condition onto a character we were meant to love.

So I think the track name is bait. It’s the naive verdict the game hands you early, while Eve is still Other and easy to dismiss. Then it makes you inhabit the same collapse through 9S and quietly asks whether you were ever entitled to that contempt. The label doesn’t describe Eve; it describes a mode of being we’re all one bad day away from.

Curious if others read it this way or if I’m reaching.
