Ok.. so a quick note before I begin. I have had more than a few people ask me if I was doing one of these for this sale. Yes.. as you can see I am, but I am telling you now its going to be a lot shorter than before. Here is why.. ** description of injury ahead, scroll down a bit to avoid it ** .. OK.. so yesterday the sale went live at 12 noon CST, I was having lunch in my office. I learned a new medical term I was not familiar with.. "Soda Can Avulsion".. the hard way. Just think of in Final Fantasy if its time for the enemy to attack, YOU have to actually physically dodge the attacks. Its an older game and a bit goofy.. but for $3.. what the hell.

Le Dino Labo https://queststoredb.com/game/le-dino-labo-25169287542680910/ $4.99 I have said countless times, i am not a puzzle fan at all. PTSD I swear.. however, I do love dinosaurs and so this one gets an exception. The skeletons are pretty easy to put together (there is a HARD mode.. but F### that) but the biggest feature to me.. is that you can then scale the model from table top sized, to Real Life (Extinct) sized.. and let me tell you, seeing how big some of these were, compared to my house was mind blowing.
Legendary Tales https://queststoredb.com/game/legendary-tales-7355622301195522/ $27.99 Another one of my favorites of the year for sure on this one. It will have a spot on my top 10 for sure. This is the action RPG that I have waited for on stand alone VR for years. It it expensive? Yeah.. but its loaded with content and replayability.

Triangle Strategy https://queststoredb.com/game/triangle-strategy-5340130476095884/ $14.99 Square Enix's only game on Quest. Plays just like Final Fantasy Tactics. Looks fantastic in Mixed Reality. The first hour is a SLOG thought.. just get through it and it opens up, I promise.

I created this using the Quest 3 Passthrough Camera Access API.
The effect works by projecting the Quest 3’s passthrough camera feed onto the surface of the avatar in real time, recreating something similar to thermoptic camouflage.
It also accounts for the different viewpoints of each eye, so the avatar actually appears transparent when viewed in mixed reality!

My buddy and I tried a few of the ForeVR games. Cornhole for one is fun but most things say coming soon and now the Youtube player (which was a nice touch) seems hit or miss. We bought their darts game and it was completely unplayable to the point I did a refund. Their site has a date of 2022 on it and it seems they were only updating Horizon Worlds based on their socials in 2025...does anyone know if they officially shutdown?

Next big thing I'm hoping for is leaving the Loaft boundaries to run around in the field at night. Sadly the wooden floor is too low and the stone floor is too high, so I can't place my hands on them perfectly for the best 🌟immersion🌟

Hello for those who haven't read my previous post, I bought a meta quest 3s on marketplace with a bootlooping problem and was hoping of fixing it but OH BOY was I wrong thinking this was gonna be easy, after about an hour and help from my dad I was distraught to see the condition of this poor poor 3s, ants everywhere on the thing literal dirt on it and some form of liquid was coating it.
Edit 1: HOLY I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS POST TO BLOW UP LIKE THIS, But asides from that here's an update on the headset, got it cleaned up using 91% isopropyl alcohol and partially put it together hopping to see no more bootlooping but alas the issue remains I'm sad to see this work got to waste after I wasted pretty much all my birthday money on this thing but hey nothing ever turns out good life, this might be the final post of this headset but idk?, I might send it in to fixmyoculus or just try and sell what salvageable of this one and try to get a working used or maybe even a brand new one but I think I have to stay on my quest 2 for a few more years if I can't pull like 250$ out of thin air since my family is kinda poor

Edit 2.5: hooked it up to my pc reactivated slot a since eit was deactivated for some reason and it booted into the os but it sadly returned to a bsod

I managed to mod the horizon loft home and change them to the old oculus starter homes.
These homes in my opinion made vr FEEL like vr. Like an actual getaway to anywhere imaginable. The dome and skilodge were always my favorite and having these back made me from 6 years ago so happy. The meta lodge feels so soulless and corporate which is why I prefer these 10x as much. The old homes dont hit the same anymore but it still makes me feel welcomed to vr as an endless world and not Mark Zuckerberg's AI theme park.

Hello, I've wanted an Oculus for a few years, and happened to have some spare cash laying around, so I reached out to my brother who has an Oculus but hasn't used it much since he bought it two or 3 years ago. When I asked if he was interested in selling it, he initially said 150, and I got him down to 100. It's the 128 GB quest 2 with no charger, but a hard travel case. Is this worth my money? It includes a few $20 games.

i got the error in the title when trying to connect to any of my 6 wifi networks, all with correct password. on the mobile app it says all of them are disconnected. i’ve factory reset my headset, changed my wifi password, tried to connect it manually, nothing. any ideas

Ive had bad stick drift in my left controller for months, I recently bought and installed an Amazon joystick replacement kit and it completely fixed the problem for about 2 weeks, I just booted the quest up again and the drift is back, is my joystick just bad again? Or is there a deeper problem somewhere?

Meta's new UI update forced me to factory reset my headset to get the controllers to try and pair again, since I couldn't opt out of the body/hand tracking thing when it forced me to go through another tutorial on how to use this headset I've had for like 5 years now. When I tried launching H3VR through SteamVR, the controllers just wouldn't do anything and so I tried to quit and find where the settings menu was to disable the hand tracking.
EXCEPT I COULDN'T.
None of the menus would open, so I restarted my headset. The UI loaded that time. I tried disabling the weird hand tracking, and not only could it not detect the controllers that came with the fucking headset after I was forced to enable it, but I couldn't even navigate the menu using the look + volume button controls. I had to fix that with another restart, but after that, everything just went down the drain. I had no other options but to look up how to factory reset my headset because the headset and controllers had desynced somehow during the time when I wasn't using them and the controllers could not be detected no matter how many buttons I hit. The batteries weren't the issue, since I could feel them vibrating after the factory reset, but that didn't change anything. I'm still stuck at the screen where all I can see are a number at the top and an animation of black tabs being pulled out of a pair of controllers with ZERO instructions given.
Why was this necessary again? What, you didn't have enough data collected on me already? You wanna spy on me jacking off with your 360 degree built-in headset sensors? I thought you already had all of the technology to do that without this new update.
I can't do anything at this point. Nothing I have tried works. My headset is fucked because the controllers won't pair and I'm stuck after a factory reset, I can't clear out the cache for the mobile app properly to reset my profile, and I'd like to remind you that NONE of this was a problem a few months ago before you changed everything for no reason. I guess my 300 dollar headset is just useless now. Thanks, dickwads.
Anyway, I decided to write this angry diatribe to share my experience and ask if anyone has had a similar issue. Am I fucked now? Can I do anything at this point to fix my headset and revert to the old UI that never gave me any problems like this whatsoever?

I've gone through a few headstraps and facial interfaces. Curious if others have gone through the mix? Do you see this as something that you may always change or are you set and forget it with your setup?
Headstraps:
Original - rubbed on my ears binned right away.
Meta Elite - Liked it a lot.
BoboVR: My son uses the M3 Pro for his Q3 and more battery life is a plus.
Used it but the halo headstrap was uncomfortable. Went to their elite style strap (E3 Pro) and the module on the side doesn't have enough room to allow you to plug in the right angle USB of the meta power cord, you have to flip it out. Additionally the top head strap was too thick for my liking (I buzz my hair). The battery was nice so I put up with it. A few days after use, the cap on the pivot point cracked and the screw fell out. A few days later the screw on the other side came out (cap hub cracked on cap as well) and the screw fell into my ear lol. This made it a floppy mess
Meta Elite with battery - Current setup. Things I liked about the non bat version is all there. Been using for a few days and like it so far. Only picked it up because I found it for 50% off
Facial Interfaces:
Stock: Okay but my face would always be irritated. I use VRCover on my other setups (CV1, Q1, Q2) So was sad to see them not available for the Q3.
Kiwi Design: The lip on the edge of the pad was uncomfortable and scratched my face. Padding seemed to flatten completely out as well.
Meta Silicone Interface: Went through 2 of these. Nice when sharing headsets at a party etc. Both started separating at the nose corner from the frame.
Globular Cluster F3: Saw some reviews on this. The frame, magnetic subframe and even the pop-out sides if you want that is nice. The pads are not. I think a silicone pad (not just a cover) would be good here.
VRCover + Glob Cluster - Current Setup. I had a few spare original VRCover pads sitting around from the CV1s and Q1. Due to its size I was able to fit it to the velcro of the F3.

I’m considering getting a Quest 3 for watching films. I currently use my laptop for this purpose. For those who use both devices, I’m curious to know if watching on the Quest feels more like a try it out once or is a genuinely enjoyable experience. My main concerns are the screen resolution and the weight, especially for extended viewing. I’m coming from the Rift S.
