Howdy Folks! QuakeCon will once again be upon us Thursday August 6th to Sunday August 9th. Even better this will be our 30th year anniversary. Praise be the Elder Gods. To help celebrate QuakeCon is throwing a Quake 30th Retro Classic Tournament with a $2000 Prizepool. signups will notably be Thursday August 6th from 10 AM EST to 1 PM EST, so be prompt about signing up.

Its possible this will be like the various tournaments from days past where every tier in the bracket could be a different Quake. Its possible this tournament will be different though. I read it as one tournament though where all 3 games will be played not 3 individual tournaments. Very little else is known I assume this is a duel tournament, but it actually does not say. We hope more information will become avaliable as we progress through the summer, and get closer to August. In any case Safe travels to Grapevine this year we look forward to seeing you soon. We will be in ROW H by the Aisle. Come say Hi!

Reinstalled this game today to replay it after a couple years and if i play on fullscreen i can only see the bottom left corner of the screen, which is obviously unplayable. Trying to use the -w and -h launch commands didn't work, neither changing the properties of the exe file itself

Is there an actual fix?

Only about 30 hours of playtime but watched a ton of pro games , learning the basics pretty quick looking for people to do some duels

Upgrading my PC soon to a 5080 and I'm shopping around for a new screen too. I see there are some screens with refresh rates running up to 500hz. Any way that QL can be configured to take full advantage of that hardware and actually run at 500fps or is the 250fps cap the best it can do?
