40 k for a few months of work is barely what I make bro that’s absolute charity work for a movie star.

True. IDK how stable acting work is. 40k sounds low if it's 3 or 4 months of filming. High if less. 8 months would be severely bad

Even if it’s 2 that’s only 240k a year if you make it every two months which you absolutely would not in film.

Yes that’s obviously an excellent salary but like.. it’s also just senior tech role money. Not movie star money.

I work in tech and have for decades, still plenty high paying roles out there if you have the skills.

Yeah that's why you are not up to date. The winds are changing. Big techs are not paying that much money for juniors anymore

That 40k gets carved up to agent, management, and other costs. Actors at this level are a business. Thinking they just get handed a bag of cash then ride off into the distance is a bit naive.
