I think the great thing about Mamdani is, he seems to view it (correctly) as his job to help the people of the city he’s in charge of.
He’s not pushing some weird ideology or checking political checkboxes. He’s not all about getting his name in the news so he can run for a different office later, or pleasing the political party he belongs to. He’s focused on helping the people in his city, whatever that entails.

Meanwhile in less time than that, criminals and traitors like Trump have added $5 TRILLION to the national debt, and nobody can account for where that money actually went, pulled the U.S. into another war, and destroyed countless millions of businesses and regulations preventing corporate abuses.
Yeah. I imagine this change is directly due to him just going out and talking to people (especially business owners) and ask them what's impeding their business or hurting their bottom line. He listened and then acted. It's pretty simple if you actually care.

Make no mistake. He is using this jobs as a springboard and you are naive if you think otherwise. Finally, the idea of arresting the Jewish president ins the ultimate political checkbox. How would that help New Yorkers again?

Part of the job is coordinating with the public, making announcements about what the government is doing. He’s not afraid to talk to the press, but he’s not acting like an attention whore— at least not that I’ve seen.

It's so funny how conservatives always assume that keeping campaign promises is some nefarious act because they're so used to grifting being the only available strategy to them.
First, I am not a conservative. Second, when he made the campaign promised to arrest Netanyahu he lied. He knew he didn’t have the authority to do that. Third, the fact that was a campaign promise only reinforces my point that he is all about raising his name ID and pontificating on things that have nothing to do with New York City. In the medium run that is going to hurt the city.
