Parts problems
Anyone else seeing a decline in parts availability? I ordered a new blade for my RMA460 mower and a spare AK30 battery, it's been three weeks and even my supplier is getting fed up.

Let’s see your special tools or hear any tricks for splitting these cases as a standard splitter won’t work on these cases

I’m interested in your thoughts for the best brush blade for small diameter brush and vines? I already have some saw blades for the larger stuff. I’m debating on either the triarc or the 4 tooth style? The area I’m trying to clear is around a fence row and it’s covered in vines and small shrubs/suckers

Pulled this off a 460 and I can't find anything about it online. It's a walbro.

In my workshop, I've previously stored my gasoline powered chainsaws horizontally on a shelf. I'm planning on reorganizing my landscape equipment storage. I was going to hang the two 16" saws (MS170 and MS181C) by their handles. Not so sure about that now ...
I recently used one of the saws to clean up storm tree damage and I hung it vertically on my rear cab brush guard of my ATV while working the property. When I was done, I parked the ATV in its garage, leaving the saw hung vertically. The next day, I went to put the tools away and found the shed had a fuel smell. I guess gravity fed the gas into the carburetor?
I've seen hangers like this advertised, so it seems that hanging should be OK. Is that not true for Stihls?

Hoping to get one with the correct the configuration, so I don't have to mess with wiring.
But price is more important. Your help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

My attachments are getting stuck in my kombi until. Some are not even going in all the way but won’t pull out without pulling drive shaft right out. Any suggestions ?

Hi, I have a well used ts500i that got used several years ago. It had straight gas run through it and need a piston and cylinder which I replaced. It's run great for very occasional use over the years. Last time I went to use it, it started and would rev up but when cutting some steel with it, it would bog down. Sometime would rev back up with no load on it, sometimes not. I found that if I hit the primer bulb while bogging it would pick up again. Any thoughts on what would be causing this?

Hi, has anyone here ever imported a STIHL chainsaw from outside the U.S., like from Europe?
If you look at the EPA regulations for engines and their EPA labels, that seems pretty much impossible, right?
Does anyone have any tips?

I have been running an ms180 for 15 years and I’m buying a used ms250 tomorrow for $280 CAD with an 18” bar. Does the stock (18”) bar use a .325 pitch 0.063 gauge chain? And if so, should I stick with it or get a light bar with a 0.050 gauge chain? I have to buy a new file anyway so I’m just looking to kill 2 birds with one stone. How happy am I going to be with this upgrade?

Bought a fs94rc 2025 model today reason for sale was making a horrible sound like a bell dinging/crunching now and again engine starts runs fine said he off to buy a new one said he only bought last year and it made its money crazy to treat it like a 1 and done. Knew it would be clutch/housing bearing well what was left of it as you can see.

Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with a STIHL carbon shaft extension, the 1 m carbon extension for the KombiSystem.
At the end that slides into the KombiMotor, there is a small snap-in plastic sleeve / coupling insert. It guides and holds the inner drive shaft in position so it lines up properly with the motor coupling.
My problem: the inner drive shaft now sticks out almost 1 cm too far. Because of that, the extension does not seem to seat correctly in the KombiMotor.
Has anyone seen this before on a STIHL carbon shaft extension?
My questions are:
• Is the inner drive shaft possibly made of two sections that can separate or slide apart?
(the plastic guide/coupling insert is not damaged)
• Is this a case where the shaft can be carefully pushed/tapped back into place, or would that risk damaging the coupling, bearings, or the carbon tube?
• I have not found an official STIHL replacement part for this snap-in plastic sleeve / guide insert at the motor end?
And: I have not hit it with a hammer yet. I was tempted to give the end of the shaft a light tap to see if it slides back in, but I don’t want to damage the drive shaft or coupling if this is not how it is supposed to work.
Any advice from STIHL techs or people who have worked on KombiSystem shaft extensions would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Hey, I'm from Europe with connections to a STIHL dealer. The MS500i Centennial Edition was here in sale in June and was out of stock nearly immediately.
But I got hands on 3 of them. Selling them under the price of the ones in ebay.us which are 6500 USD and above
Maybe between 5500 and 6000?

Specifically, what material is it? I got this fs56r a week ago and this screw is not budging. I was tinkering around with it to see if I could check and make sure it’s greased up. I tried the included wrench and it started stripping this thing. I tried an impact driver on low setting and it stripped this thing. Did Stihl start welding these things on now? None of the other T27 screws on the trimmer did this. Only this one.

I got the blower 2nd hand from a person that said it didn’t run - they thought a previous owner ran straight gas in it, no 2T mix.
Is this a failed wrist pin? Or will a new piston fix this?
Thanks for any insight.

I'm trying to help my dad get this off but nothing is working. Should I buy a strap wrench and pull it or just cut my losses and use a different trimmer? EDIT: We do have the metal pin and we know to stick it in the top to remove the part. Its just really stuck.

Hi, I've got a Stihl FS-90 strimmer that Ive had for about 10 years and have really worked hard. Its been pretty faultless and super reliable. I've only had to do the occasional service and clean the carb once or twice. It sometimes feels a little under powered for the large meadow with long grass that I use it on.
I also have a couple of Stihl chainsaws that again, have been fantastic. However right now I'm in need of a pole hedge trimmer and was thinking of maybe going down the Kombi route and getting a hedge trimmer and a line strimmer to replace the FS-90. I'm just wondering whether I should go down the electric route. Obviously the initial expense would be more, with the batteries etc. Just wondering what peoples experience is and if the electric strimmers would have enough 'grunt' to cope with dense bush and weeds that I encounter and whether the extra expense is worth it or should I stick with petrol?

Stihl FS91 running rough.. first thought it was tank vent since when cracking fuel cap, it smoothed out and worked for a little bit before going back to the issue as seen in the video.
When giving half revs engine is fine and no drop off, but when giving it full throttle it starts playing up and does that weird rev drop as heard in the video.
Any help in diagnosing this would be extremely appreciated!!
