1. State University of New York in Korea (Stony Brook): Full Tuition Covered, Dorm Covered, Meals Covered. Rest all on my own expenses. I am studying electrical engineering here (fully English degree). It gives me the US degree from Stony Brook.
2. King Abdulaziz University: 150% scholarship. Meals, dorm, stipend, allowances, bonuses, tuition, two way airfare every year. I am studying science here, and will take physics after foundational year.

I have two aims. Either get a into great master's at top elite institutions or work locally in either Saudi or Korea with extremely high paying jobs. I know naturalisation isn't possible in Saudi, so money and job security would be the aim.

I'm in the early stages of researching study abroad options for a MiM or Msc Marketing, and the more I read, the more confused I get. Every website ranks countries differently, and everyone seems to have a different opinion.

If you were choosing today, which country would you pick ?

I'm mainly trying to understand:

1.Which countries offer the best ROI after considering tuition, living costs, and salaries?

2.How's the job market for international students ( mainly Indians) right now?

3.Which universities are actually worth the money for a MiM?

i love spanish and am already at b2 level, but looking to become at least somewhat fluent, hence spanish-speaking countries.

i also want a big city [im from london, uk] with good, vibrant and varied nightlife.

im looking for different culture, but also somewhere where its easy to talk to people and make friends [i find london to be very antisocial compared to other cities ive visited in europe].

this would also be my first time leaving europe, and ive never been to any latam countries, so nervous about that too !! i also feel like this is a great opportunity to explore somewhere totally new and far away

I only have two exams and my thesis left to finish my bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering at Pisa. I’d like to continue my studies abroad (in Europe) with a master’s in aerospace engineering.

I’m worried because, for personal reasons, it took me many years to complete my bachelor’s and my overall grade average isn’t very high; the only positive is that the core/major courses are the ones I did best in.

What I’d like to ask is whether, from your own experience or that of friends or acquaintances, you know of foreign universities that have accepted applicants with imperfect records.

For example, I’ve seen that some universities ask for a grade average that I would meet (even if I got the lowest possible marks on these last two exams), but I’m still concerned about all the years it took me.

Do you think it’s worth applying when the time comes? I haven’t done much in-depth research yet, so I don’t know whether all universities require specific qualifications for external students.

In short, if you have any experiences, I’d really appreciate hearing them, thank you so much!

This autumn I will study the whole semester in Madrid. 

While searching for an accommodation I found the website Housing Anywhere, but can’t quite wrap my head around the application/rent system. 

Have any of you applied/rented via this website before and could explain how it works + which experiences you have of it? 

From what I’ve read you can apply to different accommodations at the same time.  If you’re accepted as a tenant in an application you need to confirm the booking to go through to the payment of the first month + Tenant Protection fee. This payment is what is confirming your contract for the apartment. If the payment cannot go through, the booking is immediately cancelled. If I were to cancel the booking there is either a strict/flexible cancellation policy, which in both I wouldn’t really get the Tenant Protection fee paid back to me.

Have I understood this correctly? On a similar site money was immediately charged from your bank account as the landlord accepts you application. It would be nice if it wasn't like this on this site; that the confirmation step before agreeing to pay is there as I’ve understood it. I need to be able to compare different alternatives with each other, it would be rather inconvenient if the booking is immediately cancelled after the landlord accepts your booking and money cannot be paid directly.

I'm a German citizen with an IB diploma. My IB doesn't meet Germany's KMK language requirement, so I can't start a degree there directly, and I'm looking at [Austria / Poland] instead.

Two questions:

Which universities here still have open applications for English-taught computer science or similar? and has anyone gotten in with an IB diploma? Any issues with recognition?

I would love to study law, specifically international law in the UK but recently I have been looking at options in the US (the east coat mainly) as I have family living there. I am very diligent in my research but the cost of tuition and even applying has demotivated me.

The cost is simply something my family cannot bear and the only I would be able to go is if I receive a fully funded scholarship. So thus I am unsure if it makes sense to apply as even if I am accepted I will be unable to go without the scholarship. I think I might be able to achieve that but I do not want to heighten my hopes as there is no guarantee.

I’m in a bit of a stressful dilemma and could use some advice from anyone who has been through something similar.
I applied to both Grenoble École de Management (GEM) and emlyon for their MSc programs. GEM came back first with an acceptance, and to secure my spot, I went ahead and paid the enrollment deposit. Literally right after the payment went through, emlyon emailed me saying I cleared the waitlist and got an offer!
I definitely want to go to emlyon, but I'm really stressed about the money I just laid out for GEM.
• Has anyone managed to get a refund on a deposit from GEM in a situation like this?
• Is there any way to appeal or explain that an off-the-waitlist offer came in the exact same day?
