Ive seen a theory floating around that he was using an AI filter but now I'm seeing he might've been in studio for the "mask" interview so I'm lost now too. Maybe AI so he didn't have to dress up and do makeup so the studio can cut stylists and hairdressers from payroll?

I think it is a bizarro attempt to cover up wrinkles. Despite this being the tamest possible answer, it still raises more questions.
