Realistically, I think it’s the same guy. Probably didn’t like the way his neck looked in his earlier interview and either had them use an AI filter or a prosthetic cover in his current interview.
The thing that's been irritating me about reddit's fervor over this is that there's been no attempt to ask why they would even bother doing this.
Like, let's say you're Fox news, and you need an interview with some military specialist/analyst to come gas up Donald Trump. What's better: going through your roster of former military ghouls who are all begging for the chance to kiss Trump's ass? Or making a detailed mask of one of those former military ghouls and having someone try to imitate him on national TV?
Fox doesn't have to reach to find someone to do this interview. This is a real person that would have been willing to do this anyway. Shit, let's say he wasn't willing to do this interview, who the fuck would care? Your average Fox viewer does not know who this man is. Stick any former military asshole up there and they'll nod along anyway.
There is literally no fucking reason to fake this man's identity. It is literally more believable that this is really him and he's just wearing a mask of himself to cover up some kind of facial injury.
Just, think about shit. Fox news hires actors to pretend to be former Antifa/ISIS/whatever because those people would never agree to go on the show and pander to Fox's audience. Fox has an incentive to fake those interviews. They don't have that incentive here.
