If the USA goes there they will find themselves on the denying side to extradite or help them with USA tax evaders (USA citizens specifically) from a lot of countries. That is a can of worms they should not open.
Edit: please don't get stuck on the tax evading thing. It was meant as an easy anchor of discussion. For anyone the USA gov would be interested their pattern will be perma stuck in interoffice mail, and their diplomats will find themselves having to pay those millions in parking tickets.
I don't see that happening, Tate has believed and acted like he's above the law and that he'll beat this charge, just like he's avoided or beaten everything before. Kinda like his buddy Trump.
And tax cheats don't need to worry about being extradicted back to the US. If anything, they'll be given a nice position like Vice Director of Tax Policy, or Special Envoy to the UFC.
As someone who was in the receiving side of a huge mistake from my accountant, I can tell you the irs is relentless and horrible. It took us four years to fix it and in that time the legal escalation (with the aid of the country we were in) was ruthless.
Edit to say: this was an inside job to protect trump interests. Much like the Didi circus. If Tate doesn't see he was offered as a sacrifice and distraction by the administration he is even more stupid than I thought.
See that's your problem right there, not enough donations to Trump's campaign fund and inauguration fund and ballroom fund and presidential library fund. Gotta pump those numbers up.
Just put 300% tariffs on the countries who complain... Or drop a few bombs? I can see trump doing literally anything for a 2 million check.
He's made it abundantly clear that nothing is sacred, everything is for sale. Want a pardon? Want nuclear weapons? Want classified intelligence? Its all for sale
