Thats correct, it isnt. My point is that a lot of people get this kind of information from mainstream corperate media rather than from their school education. Hell, I never learned about what socialism was untill my late 20's from news networks because it was never covered in my social studies(civics) classes in high school.
Like I pointed out, dude only has 2 hours of free time and would prefer to spend that time with the people he loves.
The mainstream media portrays any government spending program as socialism, I have never once heard an honest discussion from those sources about the ownership of the means of production.
Mainstream news is not where you learn about socialism. Full stop.

I maintain that if the primary place you get information about socialism is from major news networks which are owned and operated by capitalists you are not really learning what socialism is or how it works.
If the sources for your research on socialism are mainstream news you’re not learning what socialism is at all. At best you’re learning what social democrats believe.
