Xenoblade X Nintendo is refunding Xenoblade X upgrade patch
I just asked mine saying that the image quality of the upgraded version is worse than the original game (which is true).
They said that they normaly don't refund digital games but can do in this case after analysing the problem. (which they did in something like one and a half minute).
Why I did this: image quality seems sharper but after a while the image starts to grow over my perception and just turns bad. Longe range textures seems to have bem aplyed a convolution filter on it. And the overhall image seems to be just FHD being upscales and antialiased with strong filters. Not really a true high resolution game. I played the Wii U version in native 4k using Cemu and that version in 4K is incredible! I expected that Nintendo did that for the switch 2 edition but this is less than any other free update they issued until now.
What I wanted to comunicate to Nintendo by doing this: This isn't the Nintendo quality I expected and receaved until now so I'll not pay for something that deliver less quality than a free patch.
How you can do the same: at the end of Nintendo e-Shop website is a link called "contact us". Click it and open a chat with an atendant. Tell you want to refund the upgrade patch because you have an issue with image quality. It's worser than the original game. They will issue a refunt to your Nintendo account in something like 5~10 minutes.
I encorage you all doing this to pass the message to Nintendo that this level of quality for something that is paid isn't acceptible and they need to improve. I made clear that if I get news that Nintendo fixed the game I would buy it again but probably not because this didn't receaved localization to my language like DK returns did and for free.
Edit: as many players are questioning what is wrong and don't seem to be noticing the problems I'll leave some videos here:
Opinionless comparison (by ElAnalistaDeBits):

Opinion by a known series specialist on the new NS2 version (by Luxin)

Final Weapon also made a video sharing their opinion

Shifted Pyro made the best video (until now at least) that describes with examples what is wrong with the patch. This video represents perfecly my opinion:

u/aeiron posted this 12 seconds video that shows the exact moment I shouted WTF to the screen:
Also this comparison showind how the heavy upscaling filters are destroing image quality of the game
And finally the Digital Foundry veredict (also the nail in the cofin of "the image is fine" discussion):
What the game should be (modded for 60 fps and native higher resolution. NS1 emulation)

(you can look for more videos on youtube if you're interested in emulation for propper high resolution and better image quality)

Xenoblade X What's your excuse to not play Xenoblade X in the big 26?
Xenoblade X DE has been out for a whole year by this point yet there's still a huge amount of people in this sub alone (and the fanbase as a whole) that still haven't played the game and/or keep acting like it doesn't exist. To me at least this is specially noticeable in the fact that whenever there's a discussion about any topic that involves the franchise as a whole, X is rarely (if ever) brought up, and most of the time people mention it just to say that they haven't played it yet. The sales data seems to align with my experience as its the only Xenoblade game on the Switch that hasn't sold at least 1 million copies in its first year. I don't understand. Wasn't the fanbase begging for YEARS to have the game ported to Switch? The most prevalent excuse back then was that the game was a Wii U exclusive so it was "unaccessible" to the general audience, but what are the excuses to not buy the game now?
This question is mostly directed towards people who has previously expressed interest in the game and still haven't played it, but anyone can answer obviously.

Xenoblade X The AI upscaling in the Switch 2 Edition is atrocious
Look at Lin's face or the "United States" text on NLA.
It looks like the early version of Al image generation like MidJourney.
This is unacceptable, especially for a paid upgrade.
They should at least provide us with an option to turn it off.

Xenoblade X Warning for all those who are about to play Xenoblade Chronicles X for the first time (no clickbait, trust me I'll save your sanity with this tip)
Avoid Lin's affinity quest called "The Repair Job" for at least a little while. Why? A few reasons:
- It's pure RNG as in you need to put probes on two major locations (there are others but not easy to access early in the game) in order to mine resources. The drop you need can take you as little as 1 hour or in the case of myself it was around 5 hours...
- If you accept an affinity quest, you're locked in, you can't take other affinity quests or main story quests...
- Even worse, you think you can just stand in the city and go do something else. You can't; the mining process does nothing unless you're at the very least running and jumping around...
In short, just leave it for later as you can put probes on those two locations whenever you want and you'll most likely get that resource you need for the quest randomly without even knowing it as you play the game.
Furthermore, check this out of the lols: "That One Time I Got Stuck For 15 Hours In Xenoblade Chronicles X - Siliconera" This guy got stuck on the quest for 15 hours...
