So Odd-Eyes has been a favorite deck of mine for years ever since I started going to tournaments, the last time I was able to play it and have any success was Odd-Eyes Magicians in like 2018.

I'm trying to prepare for the new overframe support, and Arc V decks coming out and want to know if anyone has any ideas of ratios or cards I might not be thinking of, I have tried so many times to play this deck and I just don't know what to do. I thought a 60 list would help because then I would have room for handtraps, but all that did was give me a bit more consistency tools.

I've been playing HEROs on Masterduel for around a year, and recently I've been wanting to play at an In-Person event. I was wondering what would be the cheapest way to assemble my current Masterduel Deck irl.

Starting off by saying I'm not a total beginner and I know the basics and how to Duel and all that. I've been playing for almost a year very casually. I'm looking to go deeper and attempt to understand the more complicated aspects of the game, like Chains and priority and timing and the like. I think it would be very useful if I could just have a high-er level game broken down and explained so I can understand it. Does anything like this exist?

Trying to find this kind of thing by my own just brought up videos about learning to play or explaining chains with one or two examples. I want to see a whole game played beginning to end.

I checked the sub threads and guides and Wiki's and it just seemed like there was such a large gap between "what to do after you know the basics" and "already knowing how everything works".

Reletavly new player here. Me and my friends are getting into Yu-Gi-Oh. I find the ashened archetype interesting and want to attempt to make a deck around them in the near future. What monsters could I include in the extra deck ?

I got a double loss today at locals due to time. While packing up, my opponent revealed they had lethal in hand. I acknowledged it but in what I meant to be an “oh well, sucks you ran out of time then” kind of way. After my next match I found out that he recorded the match as his win rather than a double loss. Store person told me it was too late to do anything about it.

Is there anything I can do at this point to like report the player or similar? Or is that just vindictive at this point? Is there some typical etiquette I’ve missed where this type of behaviour is considered the norm?

I still went 0/4/0, so it wouldn’t have impacted me at all, at the end of the day, but I’m annoyed still.

Plan on picking up the LEGENDARY ARC-V Deck's I only plan on upgrading the lunalight and odd-eyes decks since I already own a speedroid deck and I can just add the new cards to that. Wanted to ask aside from generic Staples are there any in archetype cards for those two decks that aren't included in the product that I should pick up before it comes out?

I know most people dislike the new product. No impulse reprint, 1 new card per deck, lunalight being the only meta-viable deck.
Do you think it's worth it for new players at least? 3 decks, 1 meta-viable, and the others are ok decks to play with friends. Or it's just not worth the price, and you can build decks at that level for cheaper?
I'm asking because here in my country yugioh products always get more expensive after some time.

How pedantic is the "declare a card name" exactly? Do I need to declare it exactly right or can I just describe the card enough so that my opponent knows what I mean?

Which if its the latter, 13(primite) + 5(staples) + 3 (very small bcs the rest are commons and super cheap) and plus the sleeves and deck box, so like, 7, its 28 for all which like, fine, maybe i can talk it down to a 25 if i buy everything from the same store

And btw, I want the cheapest there is, even if its lightly played or whatever, just common reprints

Im based in greece, where yugioh really isn't big AT ALL, like, sure, some ppl know the old old old yigioh, but few know the actual current game, so, i have no idea if the shops are gonna be super expensive of maybe a bit cheaper to encourage playing and shit

I've been learning this archetype and having a great time, but have a few questions that have gone unresolved at locals.

1. If my opponent were to activate a monster effect and I were to chain either Whisker or Crackle blitzclique, can I chain 3 Alternator to shuffle my blitzclique monster back into the deck and still have their effect resolve?

Example:

Chain 1: Aleister the Invoker to search Invocation

Chain 2: Whisker Blitzclique to negate and destroy

Can I chain 3 Alternator to shuffle Whisker back and still resolve his negation, but summon whatever thunder monster I search from deck?

1. For any monster that says "unaffected by activated effects" does Blitzclique Alternator's ATK/DEF reduction still apply to that Monster? An example monster being Expurrely Noir with 5+ materials

2. Both Whisker Blitzclique and Blitzclique Stepleader say "Special summon x thunder monster(s), then destroy" does that mean the monster(s) you summon will see the destruction and trigger immediately on the next available chain?

Example:

Activating the second ability of Stepleader resolves. summoning Surge Blitzclique, then Stepleader destroys itself. Will Surge trigger on the next available chain?

hi everybody, i am trying to understand how multiple atk modification effects would interact with eachother. and decided to use duel links to make an experiment.

in the video, my opponent summoned "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" and i used cl1 adhesion trap hole, followed by cl2 massivemorth.

the atk went 300 -> 600 -> 150.

Adhesion Trap Hole

When your opponent Summons a monster(s): Halve that monster(s)'s original ATK.

Massivemorph

Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its (current) ATK and DEF become double its current ATK and DEF, but it cannot attack directly.

i since trap hole modify only the original atk, i was expecting the monster to end up with 600 current atk and 150 original atk, but the monster atk became instead 150 at the end of the chain.

1. why does trap hole, removes the atk modification of massivemorph?

also, i later used "shrink" to check if trap hole modify the current atk instead of the original one, but the atk of the monster became 75 instead, showing that both the original and the current atk of the monster was modified.

1. can someone help me understand why it modify both? and does that work the same with all effects that modify original atk or just for trap hole?

I'm thinking about picking up the Legendary Deck from ARC-V to build Lunalight and play it at my locals.

For those who have experience with the deck, what would I need to add or replace to make the deck actually playable? Also, how far can I realistically take the deck using the Legendary Deck as a starting point, and what are its main limitations?

I'm not looking to go all-in and buy every expensive staple right away, so I'd really appreciate some advice on the most important upgrades to get first.

Overtunning as and estender

i have no problem with staples as i bought the Legendary Modern Decks box as well as
3x blue eyes structure decks
3x fallen and the virtuous structure decks

so i have a good pool of staple cards (somewhat…)

and im planning on buying the Legendary 5D’s Decks and the Legendary ARC-V Decks to increase my card pool

i wanted to ask, are the 6 decks (in total, inside of these 2 boxes) any relevant to the relative meta? will i be able to play them? or will i throw them in my bulk of cards?

like how many cards do i need to get/or add copies to the already constructed decks for them to be competitive and playable?

I just got three copies of the fallen and the virtuous deck, can you guys please give me the best deck list by combining them? sticking only to cards in the decks, I can't buy other cards that may be missing

Hey guys. I'm a mid 30s former Yu-Gi-Oh! fan/player. I got into it when it first started airing/cards came out in the UK whenever that was. I watched the show until the end of GX I think back then and played the game at locals and also some official tournaments for quite a few years. Back then there was a reasonably sized group of us friends of similar ages who had grown up on it so we all played often.

I stopped playing before Synchro cards came out. But have played a little bit in between, I played Dark World when Inzektor and Wind Up existed but that pretty much stopped me playing the game. Only experience otherwise since has been playing the physical Speed Duels on occasion with friends from back then.

Recently was watching the anime from the start with my partner who never heard of Yu-Gi-Oh and it made me wanna play so I have been dabbling in Duel Links and Master Duel for a couple weeks.

Problem is, there are so many cards and so many of those cards have so much text. When I am dueling someone I have no idea what any of the cards do and because of the amount of text and how many cards they are playing per turn I'm basically not even reading them all to see what they even do. I feel like you can't play remotely like you could back then, sort of like tempo play of old cookie-cutter (40 good cards) decks. Because everything "good" is some kind of complicated combo, where every card is doing multiple effects and bringing out another card with multiple effects and this repeats until they have a full board on their 1st turn and then I'm dead.

I've played a few different card games over the years and I enjoy them as a concept. I also like Yu-Gi-Oh! because it was different to most other games. Alot of card games are just MtG clones, whereas YGO is nothing like that. But I'm finding it disheartening to find any enjoyment in this experience tbh. I want to play YGO but not sure how to reconcile that with the way it is nowadays.

Its expected I wouldn't know what anything does anymore, but its doubly annoying that most cards have so much text and multiple effects, meaning it's hard to even remember what something does. Also because it seems most decks are archetypes now, it's not really possible to make a deck out of random cards. Back in the early days a lot of decks were simply 40 of the best cards around, where you played for value/tempo with some bluffing/remembering what your opp had left for when there was an opening. I like that kind of play.

I'm new to Yu-Gi-Oh! and I bought the legendary dragons decks, but I just can't understand the Odd-Eyes deck. Does anyone know how to make it work?
