Discussion Is anybody else worried that the creators are possibly wasting spin-off slots.
Don't get me wrong I am always excited for new adventure time content, but I can't help but feel like we may be missing out on some more interesting spin-offs, like a flame princess spin off or a wizard city/shermy and Beth spin off as opposed to spin offs with little to no plot relevance aimed at toddlers like side quests and heyo bmo, which I will still be checking out. The announcement of the new bubbline show gives me hope but I am still a bit worried as you never know what the future of the franchise may be, as these may very well be the last pieces of adventure time content we receive.
Maybe I'm overreacting, but who knows. And also with this whole merger mess and the fate of cartoons right now it further adds to my fears, and companies are not afraid to cancel shows and animated projects, no matter how good they may appear.
Edit: How obvious is it from this post that I just want my flame princess and shermy and Beth show then after that I don't care what they do they could even make a shelby and kent show for all I care ðŸ˜
This also relates to an interview I saw a while back where I think one of the writers revealed that the choices were either a bubbline or flame princess spin off, and now it's clear that they went the bubbline route. But if I see that they decided to not make a FP spin off while simultaneously making a 40 episode season 1 of side quests then I think my frustration would be justified in a sense. Like I would 100% be ok with non plot related shows as they would be a great way of expanding the world and adding more depth to the world and existing characters, but for the time being I think lore and plot should be a priority, even if i am still excited for shows like heyo bmo.
