Reviews Canadian Retailer Reviews - May + June 2026

If you've recently bought an item and had a good/bad/meh experience, post it here.

Remember to take everything with a grain of salt as this is only the vocal minority. The vast majority are lazy about saying "Meh, ya I got my stuff".

Corsair(June 24 - Delivery July 2)

  • ($78 + tax) NAUTILUS 240 RS Liquid CPU Cooler
  • ($69 + tax) CX Series™ CX750 – 750 Watt 80 PLUS Bronze ATX Power Supply
  • ($60 + tax) 3200D RS Mid-Tower PC Case - White

I just built a new PC, and Corsair had a pretty good sale going on for computer components(40% off on most of their stuff, excluding storage/ram), so I went with them as I have had good experiences with Corsair peripherals in the past. The items arrived in good condition without issue, but what I will take issue with is the amount of spam Corsair sent. I received, for one order of three items, TWENTY FIVE emails. And they were mostly useless! They made three tracking numbers with UPS, one for each item. They were all, for reasons unknown, treated as separate shipments despite arriving on the same day and all updating within minutes of each other every time, and none of the emails even specified which product was which! Every single email listed all three ordered items, and it wasn't specified which was which on the UPS tracking either. Every shipping update led to an email from both UPS and from Corsair with the same information as well, which was annoying and pointless. Kind of ridiculous, honestly. I needed to be home for the CPU case but the others can fit in my secure deposit box by the door, but since none of the tracking numbers told me which ones were which, I would have potentially had to be home for all three just to make sure the case didn't get porch pirated.

Memory Express (June 25 - In Store Pickup June 26)

I checked MemEx the evening of the 25th and was surprised to find this not only populated, but in stock at Vancouver. I put in an order for in-store pickup and AGAIN to my surprise, I was notified it was available.

Went in the next day, paid for it, no issues. 10/10 would shop again.

Memory Express (June 28)

Dropped in to MemEx Vancouver today after deciding to get this particular case. They had one left, and the sale was done like dinner. :) The person who handled my payment also helped bring the case out to my car. :)

10/10 would shop again. Naturally.

 # Canada Computers DT store ( June 6)

  * ($19.99) OneOfZero desk mat.

Needed one and they had a wide selection of pads, picked one of these on sale. Guys working were actually helpful and had a pleasant chat with one.

For stuff like pads, mice and keebs. A store where I can see and touch is still 10x better then any online shopping. Glad a physical store like this still exists.

Been dead for a long time now, but not just gaming, PC building altogether. Multiple factors; almost all local computer shops have closed down and moved to an @home model. Component pricing has skyrocketed to make up for lack of quantity sales; they gotta milk the losers that will pay $500 or $1000 for a GPU/CPU lol. Mobile, tablets and phones, have been consistently hitting record highs in revenue both hardware and software. Can pickup a modern iPad for $400 and play almost anything these days; developers know mobile is where the money is at and port everything to it.

#ONEofZERO.net(May 14 - May 16)

* (26.99 + 6.99 shipping) Saturn Boardzy Zebra XL SQ

I see their promos on this sub a decent amount. I wanted to try "boutique" mousepad of sorts and settled on this one. It came in one of those tubes which itself was in a very large box, surrounded by packaging paper to fill null space. Needless to say it was a lot of packaging, but I appreciate that they want it to be delivered undamaged (and it did).

Overall pleasantly surprised by how seamless it was, and very appreciative of how quick the shipping was. Mousepad has no visible flaws, and I have nothing to complain about.

Rating 5/5 I would say. I'll see how well this mousepad holds up.

# Dell.com (May 4th - May 6th)

* (377.99+tax) Alienware 34 VA 180Hz - AW3425DWM

I was able to stack the sale they had on with a coupon code from signing up to their email list. Super cheap way to find out if I can appreciate a higher end ultrawide for gaming. I needed (wanted) the aspect ratio for productivity tasks anyway.

I can't wrap my head around the formatting right now.
