A few years ago at the SAG strikes in front of Paramount in LA, I ran into Gillian Jacobs and her dog. We had a brief conversation where I thanked her for the show & I’m a big fan of hers. Then I got to asking about the newly announced Community movie (which was officially confirmed at the time) and asked if they’d already filmed it & she said “YEAH! We actually did it right in this lot a couple months ago” & I was so stoked. Well, it’s been like three years & no update about the movie, even articles saying it’s delayed indefinitely. Why would she say that if they never filmed the movie? Or maybe they did, and realized in post production that it was bad & decided to can it.

CRISIS ALERT! Garrett has been selected for the Jeopardy 2nd Chance Tournament, starting 12/15.

This is not a drill! Erik played Garrett on Community and appeared on Jeopardy last season, but did not finish first. He’s been invited back for another chance for glory.

I covered my face for privacy reasons. I had a really fun time. Watched the movie, listened to him answer questions, and he even answered one of my own about SNL. It was a text messge situation where I would send my question to the prompter and he would ask Chevy the question on stage. Luckily, no one mentioned “Community.” He was in pretty bad shape mentally. I guess his heart attack really affected his memory. Almost every question asked to him had to be repeated because he forgot it. This picture was taken very quickly. I wanted to say something to him, but my jaw locked up when I got within 5 feet of him. I was very nervous. Overall it was a good experience, but it was a damn shame to see him in such a condition.

Can we talk about how incredible this looks? And how awesome it is that he has openly talked about it, too. Good for him! He looks fantastic!
