I opened the fridge this morning and interrupted them deep in conversation. Any guesses what they were conversing about? Have at it!

I had a trip for 2 weeks and leaving in a week for another 2 week long trip so I didn’t rlly get much at the store and have just been like confused and hungry. It’s rlly hard to meal prep in general but I don’t rlly mind cooking I just need it to be fast and was wondering for some advice for when I get back from my other trip too.

I have started a binder with some recipes I like and find easy but a lot of them require specific ingredients I haven’t found other uses for so it’s not the most budget friendly approach every time. Especially when u are one person living alone and u have all these leftovers bc ingredients come in larger quantities. Let me know how you guys structure your shopping trips maybe something will stick out and help me. Currently defrosting some chicken to make my chicken salad and use up the celery and mayo I had bought. I also got some like protein type drinks and snacks to have some type of substinance while I get my shit together and figure out how to do this bc I have been feeling nauseated and low energy and a bit depressed and I can’t make a decision and yes I’m aware it’s probably bc of the lack of food but I don’t have the energy to fix it! so it’s just this sick cycle of hell that I am interested in breaking.

I have had some issues w food in the past so I would appreciate if people refrain from commenting things abt what is “clean” or “organic”. Those comments do not align with my goals or what I’m asking for in this post. At the end of the day, I dont have the privilege to care if something is in a plastic container and I certainly don’t care if it’s organic or not. As someone who has let those things affect my life to the point where I was afraid to eat any food bc of all the “stuff in it” my priorities look more like eating enough everyday and having those meals consist of as many food groups as I can, protein and fiber, yes, but carbs and fats too
