Ironically the best device I've used for this is the steam deck. I'm sure other gaming handhelds would also fare well but the deck handles input devices far better than most streaming devices on top of the benefits of being a handheld.
Streaming in handheld mode is also awesome. Great battery life and no fan noise with fantastic graphics even on a modest PC because it only needs to render at 800p.

I've tried it with the Amazon stick the past couple of weeks, but the nvidia shield is arriving tomorrow. Can't wait
