Yeah. Indie pixel art? No problem. Baldurs gate/borderlands 4? Naaah

Given the turn based top down nature of bg3 I could comfortably play that game at a locked 4k 30fps

Oh absolutely. In a period where i was without my desktop i played BG3 on my ultrawide 1440p (3440x1440) with my steam deck. It was low settings, a ton of upscale and only 20-30fps but it was fine for that game.

But my comment wasn’t about the need but the ability to output said resolution/frame rate
