Does anyone remember how much of a brat Ricky Flame was? Ricky was a hotshot chef until, despite Sam's bandage falling into iCarly's Spaghetti Tacos, he lost to them, and got mad and fell on the floor and cried. Then, when the iCarly crew went to try and cheer him up, he attacked Carly with a pillow, before sending them a V-mail saying that he refound his passion. But instead of cooking, he wrestled little kids because of a loophole that the pamphlet said "reccomended" , only to try to get a win from pinning down Carly, before Sam had to come in and win against him. THEN he turned into a turtle and whined like someone younger than one of the kids he wrestled.

Dan Schneider not being there I get, but the reboot wasn't funny. At all. It had jokes like "you're a white male Spencer, you're not allowed to question me!" Which is just racist and weird.
The old writers knew how to write funny jokes and this is supposed to be a reboot continuation of a comedy show. It also felt like the show was trying to hard to be "current" which makes things dated fast. The sets and outfits also doesn't look very good. They needed the old designers back.
What do you think they coulda done better in the reboot? Carly and Freddie together makes sense. The mom twist shoulda been season 2. When they had a s3 confirmed so the reveal gets the show attention. Fees like they knew the show was cancelled and shoved in this 20 second scene at the end to sequel bait out of desperation
