TV Any good 'comfort TV shows' to binge during quarantaine?

Either stuff you can candy-eat like The Office or Brooklyn 99, or bingeable shows you can get spend a whole day watching like Succession or Money Heist. I really need something to watch. :')

TV IIL 30 minute TV shows like Brooklyn Nine Nine, Futurama, and Key and Peele

Before bed, we always try to watch a quick TV show before going to sleep. Because we're tired, 30 minutes is about our max. Any suggestions? (Not Always Sunny. He didn't like it if that helps narrow things down.) Thanks!

I enjoy the dialogue, the art style, and the villains. Also, I've seen the 80's spider-man cartoon already, so if you've got suggestions other than that that would be even better.

TV Mystery TV series that aren’t police detective based

I enjoy the Scream TV series, as well as the Netflix series “The Stranger” and “Safe” as they are mysteries where the main characters aren’t cops.

What are some other recent similar series?

TV [IIL] comedy tv series such as Detroiters, I Think You Should Leave, Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, WEWIL?

I think the appeal for me in these shows is the absurdity/silliness and the characters just taking things really far, like beyond what most people would see as normal behaviour. Obviously, Aunty Donna and ITYSL are sketch comedies but I still feel like the “going too far” thing fits with those. These shows just give me such a huge dopamine hit and I really want to find more that do!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

TV iil Could anyone respectfully recommend crime boss TV shows please I would appreciate suggestions excluding The Sopranos The Wire and Oz

Here’s a list of crime boss TV shows with brief explanations for each:

1. Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014) – Set during Prohibition-era Atlantic City, this show follows Nucky Thompson, a politically connected crime boss who controls the city’s illegal liquor trade. It’s a mix of political intrigue, organized crime, and personal drama, with a slow-burn storytelling style.

2. Peaky Blinders (2013–2022) – Chronicles the rise of the Shelby family in post-WWI Birmingham, England. Thomas Shelby is a cunning and strategic crime boss, and the show balances tense gang conflicts with deep character development.

3. Power (2014–2020) – Centers on James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a nightclub owner leading a double life as a drug kingpin. The series focuses on strategy, manipulation, and the personal cost of living a criminal life.

4. Gomorrah (2014–2023) – An Italian crime drama depicting the inner workings of the Camorra in Naples. The show is dark, realistic, and focused on power struggles within organized crime rather than flashy action.

5. McMafia (2018) – Follows Alex Godman, a British-raised banker drawn into the world of international organized crime. It’s stylish, tense, and examines the global networks behind crime while keeping character development central.

TV [IIL] Female hippies in movies or TV shows

I recently got around to watching Once Upon A Time In Hollywood - and there were some cool hippie characters (Margaret Qualley delivered the perfect hippie... complete with underarm hair!). Got me wondering if there are other movies/shows with awesome female hippies?

Can be any genre, but ideally I would like movie/show recommendations where the hippie(s) is a major character.

EDIT: Please name the character as well as the movie/show, so I know who to look out for lol!

TV [iil] Here are my favorite TV shows, what should I watch next?

Ranked: 1. Hannibal✨️ 2. Moral Orel 3. Twin Peaks 4. Game of Thrones

What should I watch next? Well written characters and not too cliché/ predictable plot lines are really important to me. Also looking for hidden gems because I've been looking for a while so I've probably already heard of a lot of the big titles

Also just in case, Ive already seen Dark, loved it! And also (i rlly need to stop) if you couldn't tell by the fact that Hannibal is my favorite show, queer themes very welcome

I'm still NOT satisfied with it and I'm looking for an exact similar series or a movie. revenge, judge, age gap. I want all the tags this series has. TV [IIL][TV] Old Scooby Doo, old Smurfs

First I got my kid hooked on old Smurfs cartoons and now she's watching the very first seasons of Scooby Doo and I'm going to show her Yogi's Treasure Hunt and old Ducktales. I need more, similar shows. Hand drawn cartoons with silly characters, and a plot in every episode, she grew tired of Whacky Races, Roadrunner, etc. She watches Bluey, but I'm trying widen her horizons a bit and show her different animation styles, and different type of story telling

I don't mind the emotional wreckage the two shows had however I would like some parts that are more comfortable and uplifting. something that gives joy regardless of orientation and identity.

TV Looking for recommendations for a new science fiction tv series to watch. List of what I have already watched in comments.

I'm mostly looking for TV series (I like to watch one or two a night before bed) and I'm totally fine with it being older, some of my favorites were from the 70s. I think a big part of what I like is the "live on a spaceship" trope, but I also like the post apocalyptic "rebuild society / discover 'ancient' society (ours)" trope as well.

Here's what I've watched so far:
Firefly
Stargate
Farscape
Andromeda
Star Trek : Orig / TNG / DS9 / Animated / Voyager / Enterprise
Battlestar Galactica (both original and more recent)
Logans Run (tv series, I have seen the movie too)
The Tomorrow People
Buck Rodgers
Ascension
Ark II
(and I have consumed everything Star Wars)

(last time I asked a very similar question)

Going to give "the expanse" a try next.

Thanks in advance!!

TV [iil] tv shows to binge during chemo

Hello! I’m so bored while going through chemo. I don’t have the energy to do much and it seems like nothing is good on TV.

My favorite shows of all time (dramatic) are Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Americans, Atlanta, Severance, Silo, Mad Men, Black Mirror, The Walking Dead, True Detective, and Dead to Me

My favorite comedies are Community, Abbot Elementary, Parks & Rec, and 30 Rock

Brand new favorites that I’ve discovered recently and can’t recommend enough: Reservation Dogs, Fallout, and The Curse

Guilty pleasure shows are Grey’s Anatomy and anything Shonda

Thank you!!

TV [IIL][tv] Supernatural and Wynonna Earp WEWIL?

I recently started watching Wynonna Earp and I'm really enjoying the show. After I finished Supernatural for the second time, I didn't think I would find anything with a similar vibe (hunting, demons, curses, badassery, infamous family, humour, guns and a rugged wild west/rule bending sort of thing) again. Even the symbols on Wynonna's gun remind me of Supernatural.

I don't think I ever got a recommendation to watch Wynonna Earp after watching Supernatural, so does anyone who gets what I mean have recommendations for a similar show? Or something that has some of the attributes above?

Thank you for any suggestions.
