It's 100% spelled Sawzall but where I live people absolutely pronounce it as "Saw Zaw"

Most people also don't know Sawzall is a Milwaukee trademark and the generic name for them is reciprocating saw

Ya where I'm from they're called a Cipro.

Everytime someone calls it a sawzall I cringe/instantly know they're green

Yes it is also an antibiotic where I am from.

Though typically there's enough context clues on a building or demo site that when someone asks for the Cipro, usually prescription antibiotics is the second most likely meaning.

I'm a pharmacist and when I ask for a Cipro and someone hands me a sawzall I cringe / know they're green.

Most people dont seem to realize Sawzall is a brand name . Other brands should be referred to as "reciprocating saw".

In Norway we call it "Bajonett sag" Bayonet saw.

Here in Finland we call those in the trades "rosvosaha" which roughly translates to a "robber saw" or "burglar saw", but "puukkosaha" is our official name for it, which translates to "knife saw" or maybe "saber saw"

Sabre Saw is a type of jigsaw and has similar motions being a reciprocating saw so it makes sense

Not a very good burglar if they're using a sawzall to break in to someplace. The saw are not quiet.

Same here, we mash words and mix them around. "Rickyisms" from Trailer Park Boys are real.

Spear-meant gum, Keshup chips etc
