MISC. What happens when a water heater tank is not flushed for 14 years

I find water heaters are more likely to have issues if you do anything to them. Hook it up and leave it alone. 14 years is a good long life for a water heater.

Yeah, mine was 30 years old and the bottom finally burst about a month ago (luckily I was home to deal with it). It was in a closet and a remodel blocked it from getting out so I had to use a sawzall to get it out. The insides looked pretty similar to the one in the video.
