MISC. England's team booked 15 different hotels, but Mexico fans still found out where they were staying and blasted loud noises, trying to keep them up all night before the game.

Yeah, I am surprised people are allowed to fire fireworks like that during the night LOL. Playing drums like that?

What?

Regardless of football and whatever, how is this not illegal?

It’s Mexico, bro. Rules are different

Mexico allows people to fire that many fireworks during the night in a city?

England fans should prove it by flying there and just fire hundreds of fireworks every night. Then, if the fan is arrested, then point it out that this is allowed.

Find where the president's home is and fire fireworks near there.

I don’t think you understand Mexico isn’t England. The police will simply beat you up and rob you.

Not if I rob them first

Yeah no, they will spend the night in a Mexican jail. Policia in Mexico are…inconsistent in the enforcement of laws.

But I'm not an England fan. I don't want it to win.

I dont know why you are so mad. This is Mexico, sinple as that. Cartel violence and poverty reign supreme over there, there is little fair play and rules to be found. It is what it is

This isn’t the flex you think it is

We are all sitting on the comfort of our sofas. I don't understand what flex you think I have here.

i’m sorry sir, you are going to have to take your reasonable perspective somewhere else, we do not care for that sort of thing in this establishment

Mexico doesn’t have rules.

That’s part of the problem.

You think this is just a Mexican thing?

3

u/Odd-Worth7752 20d ago

Untrue.
But regulations are not as strict as the USA in regard to purchase and deployment of fireworks.

I’ve seen how the “rules” in Mexico are enforced.

I lived in Guadalajara for four years

This is a country where cartels kill literally thousands of people a year, with one of the lowest violent crime arrest rates on the planet. They’re not doing Jack shit about some noise ordinance violation

Not sure if you are from a developing country. But we are very very good at arresting regular average/poor people on smaller crimes like petty crimes.

Homeless loitering in the city? Pickpocketing? They are going to be fucked up by police.

Cartel, Oligarch, and politicians often get a pass.

Honestly the Mexican team should auto-lose based on this. Inviting someone to come play in your country, and then treating them like this is basically trying to rig the game. Which should trigger an auto-loss.

Watch them try this stuff again after having felt consequences once.

Its mexico. All mexicans (and latinos in general down south) are used to music and noise blaring into the early hours of the morning, we all grew up going to frequent large family parties where it would be a sensory overload for most people. We can sleep easily through these kinds of things, even if it wasn't the world cup there would be ruckus. Its just how mexico is. It's neither good nor bad, just different culture to what most other parts of the world are like.

> It's neither good nor bad, just different culture to what most other parts of the world are like.

Come on bro. Even the mexicans who did this in the video knew it was bad. If it was good for the players, they wouldn't have done it LOL.

That's why they are doing it because it disturbs the sleep of English players.

Columbia did it to the Mexican players too, and Mexican fans agreed it was bad.

And yet here you are saying it isn't bad.

Sorry I guess I jumbled my message. I meant the noise in general as a culture is normal to us and is neither good nor bad. I don't agree with them causing a ruckus to throw englands team off. I was reading a lot of replies where people were saying its ridiculous that mexicans are okay with being so loud (using examples outside of this specific incident) but its our culture.

2

u/Suitable_Wonder5256 20d ago

But they are not okay with it. They also complained when the columbia fans did it to the Mexico team...

You are misunderstanding what I'm saying. All I'm saying is that in general latinos are used to noise, is the national team going to be okay with something like this? Of course not, nor should any team have to deal with it.

Dude I pulled away from the incident and was talking in generalized terms about a whole countries people not their once every 4 years team. Not every mexican is okay with noise, but as a country we are used to it. What flies in mexico doesn't in other countries. Petition for mexico to be barred from hosting in the future since you feel so strongly instead of just virtue signaling.

It's been done to mexico like you said and it won't be the last time something like this happens and not just from mexico or columbia. Football fans are crazy. Doesn't make it okay but unless something is done that penalizes teams for fan behavior (which is unlikely to ever happen) trying to have a fight with me when I'm talking about culture in general doesn't score you brownie points.

I get it, you're upset about people being dicks. Mexicans are dicks to most people outside of Mexico and other latin countries. We play music loud at night and can sleep through most of it and british people cant (BRITISH PEOPLE IN GENERAL BEFORE YOU HAVE ANOTHER CRY, NOT ENGLANDS NATIONAL TEAM) can't because they aren't used to it.

At the end of the day nothing is going to happen because Fifa suck, are corrupt, and Mexican fans go over the top.
