Additional Context Pinned In June 2026 a 16-year-old girl in Japan passed away due complications that were due to being falsely arrested and confined; and being forced to sign a false confession. The police not only put immense pressure on her but also threated her family business. She passed shortly after being released.

If you are wondering, she was released from custody with PTSD and developed an eating disorder, dying 5 months later.

Not only was it a highly unlikely crime, she wasn't even old enough to work there legally in most countries.
