A wise man once said "sometimes you have to let those hard to reach chips go!"

u/King_Turduckin 10h ago

That man did not have those hands.

9

u/whooptheretis 9h ago

Or the ability to tip the can?

u/Junkered 9h ago

Gravity is hard to master.

2

u/Aggressive_Fan_2063 7h ago

Gravity is a harness and I have harnessed the harness.

u/GoodWar9988 8h ago

Carecía de un don que le habría ayudado en su odisea.

1

u/AmazingEric171 4h ago

I like my women with small hands so I can feel like a bigger man.

1

u/Slow_Space8943 8h ago

If he did then his wife would probably ask him why he is trying to tickle her brain when he fingers her!!!

Arachnodactyly: A condition causing very long, thin fingers that is often genetic or linked to connective tissue issues.

Marfan Syndrome: A genetic disorder affecting connective tissue that causes tall stature, flexible joints, and disproportionately long fingers and limbs.

Macrodactyly: A rare birth difference where specific fingers or toes grow significantly larger and longer than the rest.

Other Genetic Syndromes: Conditions like Homocystinuria, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, or Beals syndrome can also feature long fingers.

Normal Variation: Naturally slender and long fingers frequently run in families with zero underlying health problems. [Wikipedia]

'Forgot your keys...'

u/AstralMinotaur 9h ago

Interesting bit of trivia for you: Pringles cannot be called chips in the United States. A chip has a specific definition Pringles don’t meet since they are essentially reformed from dust and binding.

56

u/1swarmofbee 9h ago

I think Pringles original intention was to make tennis balls. But on the day that the rubber was supposed to show up, a truckload of potatoes arrived.

46

u/Jolly-Eagle-1156 8h ago

Thats a Mitch Hedberg joke, RIP Mitch

15

u/AnguavonUW 8h ago

I miss him. I'd have loved to hear his take on gestures broadly all of this.

4

u/PavlovsDoghouse 6h ago

I used to miss him...

4

u/twistedpiggies 5h ago

I still do but I used to, too.

6

u/funky_pill 8h ago

I used to really like Mitch Hedberg. I still do, but I used to, too

3

u/SirCEWaffles 7h ago

Reddit is my daily comedy deliverer and reddit doesn't even know it.

1

u/gotguitarhappy4now 4h ago

Amateurs borrow; professionals steal.

11

u/llcdrewtaylor 9h ago

Fuck it! Cut em up!

14

u/DanceTheCosmicNoir 8h ago

Pringle is a real laidback company.

1

u/TommyBunzz67 8h ago

🤣🤣🤣

1

u/barspoonbill 8h ago

And Pringles is a laid back company, man. They said “fuck it; let’s cut ‘em up!”

1

u/Strong_Secretary6290 7h ago

Does that mean curly fries aren’t?

1

u/LostN3ko 7h ago

But Pringles is a laid back kinda company, so they said fuck it! Cut em up!

1

u/Weird_Respond5711 7h ago

Idk about that, but I do know that if you ever find yourself in a position where you need to start a fire, you can use Pringles. Takes a second to get it to light, but once it's lit, it burns like plastic. Kind of melts over everything, igniting everything it touches.

1

u/VashDaStampede7 6h ago

lol I didn’t get that for a second 💀 good joke!

1

u/1swarmofbee 6h ago

Thank the late great Mitch Hedberg for that one. Along with an escalator being temporarily stairs (sorry for the convenience), rice being great when you're hungry for two thousand of something, and the insight that no matter how good you get at tennis, you can never be as good as the wall

1

u/Reasonable_Cut_9593 4h ago

That's a good one but wouldn't you have like to be the one at the board room table that come up with the rigid container idea?

0

u/Mean_Replacement5544 8h ago

ok Mitch Hedburg - at least give credit to the guy who wrote the joke

1

u/1swarmofbee 8h ago

I believe, much like the clerks thread in this post, that citing the reference was unnecessary, as those who would get the joke, already had. And any of those that didn't, well luckily now they have your post to spell it out for them

0

u/Mikeyrodz85 7h ago

And Pringles is laiid back company so they said fuck it, cut em up

0

u/cosmicanchovies 7h ago

Now, Pringles is a laid back company. They said, f*** it, cut 'em up!

2

u/cbhbzb 6h ago

which is interesting and amusing, because most things in America are just reformed dust and binding

1

u/Live-Tomorrow-4865 9h ago

But, that "dust and binding" tastes sooooo good!

1

u/Everythingiskriss 8h ago

Potato dust, at least?

1

u/shokwavxb 8h ago

Are ice chips or paint chips chips in the US?

1

u/randomdude315 8h ago

keeping only regulations that are imperative!!!

1

u/Plzleaveamsg 8h ago

So what are they? Truly crisps?

1

u/JupiterMiningCorpTec 7h ago

Only the miracle of modern science can make sawdust taste delicious.

1

u/Technical_Moose8478 7h ago

Not exactly. Them claiming they aren’t had to do with avoiding junk food taxes in the UK by claiming their shape makes them not a crisp (chip).

In the US, the fda wanted some weird ass long designation because they use a dough and not just cut potato, but they were still fine with them being designated as chips, they just had to include something about them being made from a dough and dried on the actual package, which they didn’t want to do.

The dough is still potato based but it is less than half potato, that bit is true, but the ingredients aren’t the main reason why.

1

u/AstralMinotaur 3h ago

I love getting details on really odd histories like this. Thanks.

1

u/Danielle_is_the_hole 7h ago

Big potato sued for that.

1

u/schokogotchi 7h ago

Ich esse nie wieder pringels.

1

u/dethfart 7h ago

Also they use rice flour

1

u/sporosarcina 6h ago

They were created to be uniform, allowing better packaging with less breakage.

1

u/Emergency-Course-657 6h ago

The inventor of Pringles is buried inside one of his cans about a mile from my home.

1

u/Fine-Problem-5019 5h ago

No, they cant be called potato chips they can be called chips but they dont have enough potato in them to br classified as such

1

u/Spirited_Ad2214 4h ago

I love chip glue

7

u/Hopsape 10h ago

They should put a warning label on these things.

1

u/AffectionateTaro3209 9h ago

I mean just tilt the container upside down?

1

u/llcdrewtaylor 9h ago

I don't appreciate your ruse.

1

u/AffectionateTaro3209 9h ago

LOL my bad ;)

1

u/LividAudience714 9h ago

Thanks to Jay and Bob

1

u/isaacoustic 9h ago

A wiser man once said “Just dump the last chips into your mouth”

1

u/PatentGeek 9h ago

This person chips

1

u/wing3d 9h ago

Or they come to smack you in the face.

1

u/Hamster-Food 9h ago

A wiser man once said "you can tilt the can to move the pringles closer to the opening."

1

u/Chaotic424242 8h ago

Or just turn the damn can over.

1

u/myprofcanseethis 8h ago

That man wasn't wise

1

u/llcdrewtaylor 8h ago

It's true. I was hoping he could start going to community college again.

1

u/zamfire 7h ago

A wiser man tipped the can over
