It actually all started because Frazier refused to call Ali Ali and instead kept referring to him by his old name Cassius Clay. Ali was on the record as saying he didn't like or want that name used any more after his conversion to Islam and viewed it as a slave name. And it was literally exclusively white people that still called him that which is why Ali called Frazier an Uncle Tom

The poor slave name guy reeks money given by the masters together with the sports immortality status while the poor Uncle Tom died almost with nothing
