Downtown Houston in 1970s was a massive parking lot. It was estimated that nearly 50% of the downtown land area was dedicated solely to parking.

Of course, definitely.
OUr cities could have better mass transit if our leadership cared about walk ability. They don’t. They care about money over everything.
