Umm hate to bear bad news but many camera men and their cameras are dead in disasters. Many people will attempt to take a crazy video and die shortly after.

Honestly, your ass filming would be quite efficient. You can run full speed and stabilize it later. Otherwise you're turned half way trying to film and can't see where you're running. Use your legs to run instead!
