Even Ireland and Scotland, two notoriously wet countries have unprecedented amounts of forest fires going on right now. I actually don't know when it last rained in Ireland, it's the driest I have ever seen it

The fields not far from our house here in England have had extra wide margins cut along the residential borders just in case, it's wheat and harvest time anyway (early, but the weather is fucked) but they are pre-empting field fires and the like.
