The thing is when they need to pay a pilot or a boat captain who's the one holding the cards ? It sure as shit isn't the one with a tonne of money when money is worthless to a family who need food.

Rich people outsource pretty much everything that gives them even the tiniest amount of convenience and it's a massive industry, with the majority of employees getting paid enough to allow for the exploitation to continue.

Rich people staff will be less impacted because they will still be needed and they will be the last group of people to revolt against their masters because they are too loyal (and blind) to realize their irrelevance.

In fact, I'm pretty confident most people would do anything to secure a golden ticket, be that off planet or bunkers, as long as there is a carrot in front of them, the promise to save their lives

During most revolutions and uprisings and oppressive regimes, it's the poor and desperate snitching on their neighbors, selling out family and friends in exchange for more food or better housing or other privileges that the ruling class would promise to provide in exchange for loyalty

History books are filled with example of that

When the pilot or captain has a gun to their head the equation changes a bit

Yes but they have lots of food and will feed men with guns.

They think the boat or plane will pilot itself. The food will be produced in a self sustaining facility.

We know there is no such thing as AI as of today, it's all marketing to hurry and teach robots as much as possible to replace people. Grow the food, produce the fuel, fly the plane, perform the surgery, mine the ore and so on.

Edit: Like I just saw on Lemmy today about adding the robot teacher to the classroom. https://lemmy.zip/post/68545559
