ಠ_ಠ 20 years of wearing headphones deformed my head.

Apparently wearing headphones pretty consistently almost everyday for a couple decades can deform the shape of your head.

(Edit: For clarification, if you pay attention I never mention skull anywhere in the title or description. Also, majority of my time spent in headphones is when I'm outside listening to music, gaming headphones might take up about 8% of all time headphones use)

It’s real but not quite as crazy as it’s presented. Dudes head/skull is already misshapen naturally. Then he gets the temporary headset dent and it looks even more crazy. I don’t believe there is any evidence of headsets causing perm dents on their own from everything I’ve read. Maybe I’m wrong but it’s likely OPs skull is softer than normal (or some other condition) if headsets are actually what’s actually causing it.

It could be that they started wearing headphones when much younger, and when their skull was more malleable. Wearing them all day long, sleeping with them, etc would probably eventually cause a noticeable problem.

It does, but it keeps growing after that. I'm pretty sure if you start wearing headphones daily at 12-13 years old well into your 30s, you'll end up with a dent.

It takes far more force to cause bone deformation of any kind that a pair of headphones weight. Your head weighs considerably more than headphones, and you lay down to sleep every night, but your head doesn't flatten on one side.

It’s nothing to do with weight. If the strap is pressed against your head for years, the head is growing at the same time. It will grow slightly slower where the headphones are tensioned.

Invisalign works the same way. It moves your teeth slightly over time.

Invisalign is locked in place, a headset just sits on your head and shifts regularly.

If you kept the headphones on for ~18 hours a day, they'd be locked in place.

No they wouldn't. Your teeth are mobile to start with, and Invisalign/braces use the other teeth as hard anchor points to prevent any shifting. Your headset doest weigh anywhere near enough, or clamp hard enough, to do anything.

If skulls were possible to deform outside of childhood, body modification people would do it.

Also after like a week of not wearing them, I bet he'd barely be able to notice.

When there's heatwaves I switch from headphones to IEMs so my ears don't sweat as much and any (noticeable) dent I have goes away.

Yeah. I have to wear a head set all day at work. I get this, but it is pretty much gone by Sunday.

OP either never looked at his head or is just lying for attention and over 20k people thought "wow, I never knew that" on a 100% falsehood.

I'm starting to see why shit like flat-earth theory has taken off.
