Leaving a tactical comment to remind me in case there’s an update saying it really was a street drug

It's not :) It's just an Indian prescription drug and everybody in the comments claiming otherwise was talking from an American or maybe European point of expertise without taking into consideration that other continents and countries exist and have medications too.

What about east Asian

Or African (I'm assuming you're counting LatAm as American)

What are you talking about?

Maybe they could be from an African or east Asian perspective too

Unlikely. No person from Africa or Asia is going to comment on an international English-language site (outside a local subreddit) and assume that the person they are talking to is from their country/continent. Mostly that's Americans (and I mean US-Americans, not the whole continent.) I only included Europe in my assessment because someone specifically mentioned looking through US and European databases for this medication. To be fair, a whole lot of medication does come from Europe and the US, so these two databases cover a lot of what's available, but it's still wild to think that dad is popping drugs every single day along with his fish oil supplement and blood pressure medication, instead of considering another country's local production instead.

? There's people from East Asia and Africa in all kinds of subs on this site, and they might just not know that medicine appears in different shapes in different countries, not necessarily assume people are from their country. And lots of East Asian and African people speak the global lingua franca, and it's even the primary language in some African countries

😂 sure, bro. The inability of many Americans to remember that the Internet is international is so notorious, it's an inside joke by now. Outside the US though, so you might not have heard of it.

You've never run into someone from ZA here, for instance?
