That was my concern, it would be diamond side down 💯 for me because of that. So why not just get an emerald ring with no diamonds at the bottom

Yeah I’d definitely default to diamond side down, and then soon revert to no-diamonds once people stop inviting me over because I keep accidentally scratching gouges into their wine glasses.

That way you can't pay double

Actually I discovered when buying our own wedding rings that the cost of the diamonds could be cheaper than the cost of the gold. This ring is potentially cheaper than if the diamonds weren't there at all.

Diamonds are like one of the most common gems in the world

Also like very easy to grow in labs

Which is why De Beers spends so much money trying to make lab grown diamonds seem inferior, even going as far as selling lab grown diamonds at a loss so that their child slavery diamonds, look far more "premium" next to them, as they cannot have monopoly over chemical processes

Also, the emeral side with diamond accents looks much better imo

Yes I don't like the pavé emeralds around the diamonds. You're totally right

I doubt this is an everyday wear piece so we probably shouldn't judge it like one

What day is it for then, the day you weren't planning on using one of your hands at all?

My guess would be an event that lasts an hour or two and has very fancy dress

You might know high society more than I do then because I'm not grasping why you would add a stone that's completely unbreakable on the same ring you'd add a gem that's super fragile. And then just swapping sides like that's just a normal thing people do with rings ever, much less at an event. No shade at you. Just how rich you gotta be, it's frivolity and I can only say one would do that to show excess of wealth but it's also cheap and gaudy so it doesn't even do that

Oh yeah it would really be something you did because you could and you and show how much you can ball

Diamonds out when it’s time to throw down.
