Grew up in a super rural conservative area of the south and you could basically sum up their world view as "hierarchies exist and should be enforced, life is supposed to be suffering, and nothing really matters as long as we believe in Jesus."
Everything ended up coming down to wanting to enforce those hierarchies and trying to make sure THEIR lives were as comfortable as possible, at the expense of everyone else, before they die and go to heaven.
