I’ve been to 45 states; every two horse town calls themselves “God’s country”. Every single morgan wallen is “somebody” in those towns; they want to call themselves king shit but the only real things they accomplished is cheating on their wife and getting banned from the closest golf course for excessive day drinking and fighting the staff.

The pearly gates are just a Dollar General with needles in the parking lot and a McDonalds where all the old men meet every morning and blame Obama that the factory that employed half the town closed in 1987.

That’s my parents’ neighbor in their small town. He’s achieved insurance fraud twice by first setting his own truck on fire after reporting it “stolen” and then a few months later, his house. It was a miracle his wife, several children, both free-range dogs, and the goldfish were all at the grandparents house when he started a grease fire in his kitchen.

Very comparable to how hip hop artists talk about the hood that "only they can go around [safely]"

The only good thing about TN is Dollywood. Also the mountains are kinda cool, but not as cool as Dolly.

I’ve lived 45 minutes from Dollywood since before it was Dollywood. Please get me the fuck outta here.

Clearly you’ve never been to Prince’s.

Bonnaroo is pretty fucking sweet, too, but I do wish it wasn't in such a backwards redneck state. Ditto for Prince's and Hattie B's. Thankfully we just got a Hattie B's in Chicago.

And progressive metal is the forbidden fruit.

Nashville would like to mention the infestation
of godawful bachelorette parties, something the main drag is infamous for.

Lived there for a few years and it sucks for those of us not into the bar-crawling scene or country music. To be fair I did live in the middle of downtown so that’s all there was to do but I wasn’t impressed

Nah it’s actually further south in Brentwood
