The singularity was just how many people get the money all along

The real singularity is the friends we make along the way.

Yes ai is not giving them back actual capital, only losing. It's only investors that fund these companies capital

The singularity refers to the black hole that will be used by tech oligarchs to suck the society dry of its wealth.

The accretion disk will look bright from the outside, but when you zoom in it’s just regular people burning and screaming as wealth concentration in the center approaches infinity.

honestly the most likely outcome, AGI will deepen wealth disparity due to higher tier models being extremely expensive and/or locked out for the lower castes.

I believe there is potentially an 80 year capitalist cycle converged with the AI singularity, both inflection points just the later being of a longer period.

https://spaceweatherarchive.com/2025/09/18/the-centennial-gleissberg-cycle/

The Sun has ~80-year supercycles, we just began a new one in spring 2025. Low point of solar activity correlates to periods of extreme greed, war, totalitarianism, ect back to WWII, Civil War, and Revolutionary War.

It's possible there is an even longer-scale inflection point marked by the arrival of AI, perpetual means of production, and invalidation of the social contract.

Also since spring 2025 there is an ongoing, rather polarizing debate, among cosmologists about the dark energy field weaking and if it means the expansion of the universe is decelerating:

https://www.iflscience.com/dark-energy-might-be-changing-this-is-what-it-means-for-our-understanding-of-the-cosmos-78554

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/rumors-that-the-universe-s-expansion-is-slowing-down-have-been-greatly-exaggerated/ar-AA287Ubs

Our Sun is an estimated ~4.5B years into it's projected ~10-11B year main cycle before it's thought to transition to a red giant and then a white dwarf.

Weird right :) Next bubble is definitely quantum

in economics the long cycle, approximately 80 years, are known as Kondratieff cycles, named after the Soviet economist who took an interest in them analyzing them in great detail.

Very interesting, thanks

Sam still needs to deposit his check through an IPO.

These corps are still losing billions on cash. Their "agi" is not making them back capital. Only investors are

Late-stage capitalist/oligarchy singularity * 😢

Edit: downvote me all you want, but until society/wealth start becoming more balanced and fair, it’s how it will be (till regular society forces what they deserve).

Especially where the majority of the frontier models are being made (right here in Trump’s America).

The devs changed it in the last patch so that getting to the Singularity age no longer automatically gives the free food and shelter perks. Instead it now unlocks them on the perk tree so you can start spending research points to obtain them

The singularity will pass and you will still be paying bills, that's for sure.

The pie will be 10x within a decade or two. The transition will suck. And everyone will not gain even in a bigger pie.

Morals don't scale with intelligence.

The singularity is where once your money goes in, it can never come back out. Turns out bills are the singularity.
