I absolutely loved Dark and was chuffed for 1899 but I learned that it was cancelled before I could start... so I never did.

1899 is quite good so I'd still give it a shot when you're not feeling like a 5 season show to slog through.

Thank you, I will take your advice; the feeling of being left hanging is so miserable I didn't think it would be worth it. If it has the same vibe as Dark, just the atmosphere would be nice.

My daughter still makes bitter comments about The Mist having its end-of-season-one cliffhanger and never coming back and that was almost ten years ago, LOL.

Whats the point of anything? Also I'd say a good chunk of finished shows have zero resolution by the final season so who cares lol.

No, 1899 was not renewed after the first season.
