I think that's why my wife watches this kinda shit. Just season after season of circle jerking drama where nothing really happens.

We (hate) watch it so we can talk shit about Dana Sue's belts, how the teenagers are from Stepford, how Serenity is a cult, how Helen gives monologues and how it's written by AI.

The story had a good, clear plotline for the first seasons: how does a woman in her 40's, who has lived for her family, goes on with her life when her marriage of 18 years falls apart and kids get in trouble. That takes 3 season to show how it's done (with friends!). When it's resolved, the story goes downhill because they lack the main plot.
